It has been a while since I last posted. A couple of weeks ago a fire gutted my home. All my manga, anime, figures, video games and consoles went up in flames. I had 28 figures of Kuroneko alone. My computers and backups went up in smoke too.
Lucky I had Renter Insurance but I have to supply a list of everything I lost. It will take quite a while to complete. A lot of the items I never will be able to replace. I wasn't even this broken up when my wife left me. How do you deal with it?

Wow man I'm really sorry for you. I can't really say, I don't really buy many anime related items besides Crunchyroll subs and such. Never lost any figures or physical copies.

The good news, you7're still alive and didn't get caught up in it. Good luck man. I know it's tough. I've lost figures and such from bad moving experiences. Nothing quite like the pain of a fire or flood, etc. Just take things one step at a time and don't get overwhelmed. Good luck bro.

Oh and I love that avatar.

There will be more merchandise in the future.

You have your life.

Prolong it so you may move forward and see the rising awesomeness of animes and manga and waifuus and favourite characters-to come.

I'd be upset if I lost my DVDs, books, figures and video game collection (180+ games, 11 consoles) in a fire.
But I'd be more upset if I lost my pets or my SO.
I can always try to rebuild a collection, I can't rebuild a lost life.

I hope you for your sake that you didn't own any limited edition products that can't be re-bought again

How to deal with all life problems is simple, forgive and forget. Don't let anything hold you down, as for the anime collection next time buy a fire proof cabinet.

Sorry man, nothing any of us say will make you better except knowing, this has happened to plenty of people, and within time it gets better. Years back my place got broken into to and stuff was stolen. I just took precautions (like moving to a different area, making sure everything is locked etc), and replaced the stuff.

I wish you luck in restoring your collection with what can be restored, and my condolences for what cannot, and having to buy it all back.
