Conservatives won, the most well spoken and no nonsense politician has resigned (Nigel Farage), and the whole voting system itself is broke. Isn't it funny how UKIP, the third most popular only gained one seat. Meanwhile SNP, who received less than half of UKIP's votes, gained more seats. So much for democracy. In simpler terms;

Conservatives who won, had 11m votes and gained 23 seats. UKIP 4m votes somehow equals 1 seat. But Conservatives win. The party who wants to end the Human Rights Act, ban certain categories of porn they don't like, sell off the NHS have won ladies and gentlemen.

I've noticed the people who voted for Conservatives are typically in the older generation, the ones who still reads the newspaper. So I guess we younger generation in the UK have to deal with are losses just because the dumb, older generation who are better off don't know any better other than to vote based on what the fucking Daily Mirror told them. I'm glad I'm working towards my degree as I'm moving out of here.

If the voting system wasn't shit, and votes actually counted for something, this is how it would of been.

But instead, we get this.

Another problem is younger kids usually care less or not enough to go and vote. I'm sure they could swing the outcome to a much better extent should they choose to involve themselves more. After all, their futures ARE being controlled to a certain degree by all of this. It's the same here in America and pretty much anywhere similar. Once the old mindset dies off things will improve to a degree.

Labour was wiped off the map in Scotland, literally. I'd expect another referendum will be coming soon. Miliband, Clegg, and Farge all resigned.

Well, at least you guys got a 66% voter turnout and the UKIP was held to only 1 seat. I suspect some strategical voting was responsible for those low seat counts.

How can you be sad that Farage resigned, he might seem like a no-nonsense politician, but he lies just as much as (if not more than) other politicians. He intentionally confuses the EU with non-EU institutions that happen to have 'Europe' in their title to make people think that the EU is responsible for everything bad that has ever happened to this country. He is also an extreme racist, a hypocrite and he earns too much money to legitimately claim to be a 'man of the people.'

etc. etc. anyway he didn't resign completely, just from being the leader of UKIP

I'm not british so my opinion is very limited, however I could agree age turnout would have made it closer, but I am not certain its the end of the world for the UK with conservative leadership, mind you there will be another election time to effectively review how the regime has done and change it if thats what the voters decide.

5 years of the Tories... Long enough for them to destroy the NHS and harm the working class.

Then let's hope the coming hard times serve to strengthen the people that they will survive and overcome it, there really isn't an alternative.

Yes, it doesn't get much worse than having 8 years of W. Good that you pointed that out.

Not to mention, I remember when the UK was almost literally throwing rotten eggs at Tony Blair for supporting W's war, and we in the US were sitting there with open-mouthed astonishment saying "You don't want him?....WE'LL TAKE HIM!!!!"

(I mean, you saw W and Blair next to each other and you still hated Blair?? That's what I was talking about earlier, Brits just complain about everything.)

First past the post, it could have been changed but wasn't so we just need to deal with it. Also your forgetting that Boris is an actual MP now... Not sure if I should laugh or cry.

A classic (and from the 80's, when we still had newspapers), but still quotable:
