Reverted the email change and changed the password. Go through the password reset procedure to reclaim your account.

Please set a new, unique and complex password. Your account was compromised because you used the same email/password combination at at least one more site, which was hacked and had its user data dumped.
You should change your password for any other site/service you have been using the same combination for.

Also run a virus scan on all of your devices to make sure that it is not a local issue.
Your payment details are safe, as you are using Paypal.

That was something I was wondering about, as it had been so long since I had changed my e-mail account here I couldn't remember if my "old" e-mail address received a notice or not. (I still had the e-mail that was sent to the new one).

So CR definitely doesn't send an e-mail to the "old" e-mail address?

If not, I strongly agree that is something that needs to be changed ASAP. It doesn't have to require confirmation (as that could cause a problem if the old account was defunct or otherwise inaccessible), but notification to the prior e-mail address is a must.

The ability to "reclaim" an account via a special link in the e-mail sent to the prior e-mail address would also be a nice bonus.
