So yea, my 30-day trail is over, paied my first monthly subscription fee here, I've never subscribed to anything online before, other than an MMO.

Overall I have to say, extremely satisfied with something like this, it was getting stupid to try and download every anime and find decent subs for them. If you don't catch a show episode by episode it can be a real pain in the ass because nobody is downloading the outdated episodes and you have to download them one by one or wait for a batch when the show is over, extremely unpleasant.

The subs here is definitely another plus. I feel like if you didn't know any Japanese, subs probably don't matter that much because you just believe whatever the sub tells you. However I feel like I'm in an uncomfortable spot where I know some Japanese, to the point I can watch an everyday theme anime without subs no problem, but I can't watch something like Fate Zero, where they discuss the worthiness of kings. If I get a bad sub, sometimes I can tell that the sub conflicts with what they're saying and it ends up making it more difficult to understand because I'm interpreting two different things at the same time. With quality subs, that problems is gone. However there are still some issues due to the structure of each language's sentences. Like in Japanese you would say one phrase before another where it's the reverse in English. I think I would rather have a slightly wired English sub where they follow the Japanese way of saying things? But I mean that's understandable not much they could do there.

I do have one huge problem with this site though, THE BLOOOODY ADOBE FLASHHHHH! WHY!!! I mean you clearly had time to develop all those mobile clients and they don't use Flash, why does the website have to use flash!?? I like to watch things on my laptop and it kills the battery as well as heat up my laps really bad because of FLASH! Watching videos on Youtube even at UHD doesn't cost that much resources! This is retarded!

Also there doesn't seem to be any surround sound support, yea it's not that big of a deal because most TV animes don't have surround, and most people actually don't have surround speakers anyway. But some film versions and blue-ray versions do. Again, if Youtube can do it I sort of expect others to be able to do it as well.

The store is also, very promising, products are very attractive (man anime figurines must be the most attractive but useless product in the world) and reasonably priced.

As for surround sound, you would be amazed at how many people have at least a simple 4 speaker set up surround sound these days.

I guess your happy with the service is what I'm getting from the post?

One of the reasons why I don't get a subscription anymore is because of flash and I could never watch full HD episodes without lagging...I don't have a super laptop but I wish I could watch HD when I'm paying.

I think he's saying that the service is good but it could be better.

YouTube player uses Flash player too. It's not Flash player that is the problem, it's Crunchyroll's utilization of the flash player that is the problem.

I've moved this to Suggestions/Feedback, since it does seem to be feedback.

I've removed the replies that diverged from that and removed the small part of your post that others latched onto as a hook for their diversion.

YouTube did switch to HTML5 as the default player early this year:

YouTube also doesn't have to deal with DRM for the vast majority of its videos. Hulu would probably be a better comparison, as they both still use Flash and have to deal with DRM. Of course, they have a magnitude more money from subscription revenue to fund paying programmers to tune their software.

Oh, you're right. I haven't right clicked on a YouTube video in a while so I didn't notice they changed their player. I don't care about Hulu in the slightest. Until they get rid of ads from paid members I will never pay for that site.
