Hey guys, I don't know if anyone can recall or anything but this was about 5-6 years ago, and I think it was either in Nicktoons or Nickelodeon. But I have a vague description of this, and I don't know if anyone can help me find out whether this show was cancelled or did they finish the series?

Description: Its about a guy/girl having superpowers, and the initial scene starts off when this person is racing along his siblings/friends in a hovering type of bike on a hill/steep mountain type of area. The surrounding environment kind of looked like as if it was early and bright spring, and it kind of had a glossy appearance to it/the sunlight being refracted on the screen? And they all live with their mother in small isolated house, and they have hidden their power so They don't find them. Their superpowers was kind of light blue color...neon highlight type, but somewhat transparent.

They are something, inside a black/dark blue vertical box like spaceship. And I think its powered by sun only? I don't know. But these "things" come and take the main character's family away, and lock the mother in the most secured prison above the clouds. And I think she is locked up in a chair middle of a huge chamber, suspending her on a half bridge/chains. The daughter/son(main character) decide to rescue her mother.

That is the only description I can recall, and I tried my best to give as much as detail possible. Hope someone can help me out with this!

Maybe Skyland?

It's the only sky prison I can think of.

Definitely Skyland (aka "Skyland, Le Nouveau Monde"). Quite a complicated history behind this series!

I still have a Nicktoons 2007 episode entitled "King for a Day" on my DVR. I went back and watched it after reading this post - really interesting animation technique. The fluid motion of the animated characters look as though they were all rotoscoped, but the actual technique used is known as motion capture.

Hope this helped!

No problem!

I never had a chance to finish watching this show because I was graduating, moving, and finding work at the time. Soon after that, I relocated to Alaska and the show disappeared right after I recorded the "King for a Day" episode on 02 June 2008.

I have another, outdated DVR sitting on a shelf that might have more episodes - I'm really curious now! Or, I may just check Amazon to see if anyone's still selling the complete story on DVD.

Thanks for bringing up this topic!
