I can say that anime/manga has had a major impact in my life. it has broaden my perspective, affected my choice in my hobbies and career decisions, lighten my personality and has given me goals to strive for.

One such anime/manga that has had a huge impact on me is One piece, especially Monkey D. Luffy. He is by far my most favorite character ever!!! Of course everyone of the Straw Hats are awesome, but I can say Luffy has greatly influence my personality and choices in life. His carefree style and protecting what's important to him makes me strive to be similar in a sense. Living life freely and not bound by social standards or rules that inhibit us with limitations. I can say I am enjoying my life living this way, made good friends with similar beliefs and have given myself goals to achieve.

There are other works as well that that have influenced me greatly. but One piece by far has been the biggest influence on me, I am interested to know what kind of influence anime/manga has had in your life.

Well anime hasen't had much of an influence (So far anyways) on me. But my mum asked me if she wanted to go to this classical music thing and then I thought it would be boring and say no. But then I watched the first few episodes of your lie in april and it inspired me to go with her.

I'd definitely say anime has had a great impact in my life, I was always bullied as a child (even by teachers)
it drove me to go insane and attempt suicide though my mother had stopped me , the school recommended I take a few
weeks off ,since I had nothing else to do I just laid in bed watching anime all day (still depressed ) but after seeing these
characters go through many hardships and still have strength to live I was inspired to live as much as I could even though
I know these characters are fictional their journey was inspirational the places they went, the things they accomplished it's amazing
what animation has done for many people , so as of now i'm studying art and animation hoping one day I can inspire someone.
Also One Piece is amazing <3

Other than my bank account, you mean?

I attend conventions a lot as what I collect are autographs from Japanese guests. I've met a lot of people by waiting in line, I strike up conversations with them and made a lot of friends that way. We room together when we go to other cons and help each other out when we can.

There's a lot of good people in this hobby.

I owe it all to anime, the whole damn thing. My alternative views of political topics, tons of friends I would have never met, career choice, my diverse interests, all of it started with anime.

Dragonball Z introduced me to new genres of music as well as inspired me to learn illustration, web design and make animation. Fast forward 17 years, I'm now working my dream job in technology and have been executive producing / co-writing an anime with my best friends that I grew up with for over 4 years now.

I've taken Japanese as a language and continue to strive to learn the different aspects of media creation that apply to anime to this day.

The characters from the hundreds of series I've watched, all inspire me in different ways - but above all, have taught me to take my morals seriously, but not myself. I could even say the disposition of anime characters has helped me develop confidence in myself, and reinforced my drive to succeed.

I've always felt like anime is one of the few influential art forms that haven't been plagued by politics and media control, meaning anime sort've has the power that hip-hop once had.

I aim to give back to anime what it gave me. Goes without saying, I have a lot of work left to do!

I can't really say since I grew up with Dragon Ball, Digimon, YuYu Hakusho, Pokemon, Shaman King, Ranma 1/2, Saint Seiya, Ruroini Kenshin, etc....

basically: my whole life I've been watching anime at least in the TV, idk if that had an impact on me, regarding to my personal life (friends, way of living, etc..) well I really theres not a single guy in my group of friends that watches anime so there you go... lol

pure entertainment I guess

Anime is a medium for telling stories. I think its made me more open minded. Also made me realize how much I enjoy stories.

It definitely has enhanced my cultural understanding of different perceptions in art, music, and narratives.
