Do you judge people based off their taste in entertainment?

Yeah, more than I'd like to, actually. It's kinda bad to judge people by their cover, but at the same time I'd say what type of media you choose to watch/listen to does affect the way you act and/or your personality to a certain degree. Ok, maybe not your personality, but definitely the way you act.

Actually, the kind of media people buy/obtain and engage in can be (but not always) indicative of the type of person one is, or can even sometimes reflect aspects of their personality, maybe even be quite reflective of who they are as a person on the whole.

No unless it's something really... wrong, I guess. It also depends on how they talk about it. If they yell at you because you don't agree with their OTP/ forget something about the show, leave them in the dust. If they are pretty chill about it and friendly, I still wont judge, even if their favorite show is Little Women: NY or Naruto.

I would like to say no, but can't say that with any honestly, that said I don't hate people on their entertainment(unless illegal like someone else mentioned). Music not too much, but people who watch reality TV seriously, I would probably end up judging them for that.

er i have to admit i've looked down on people who like that negative music, you know, bands or rappers that scream about their pain and blood and rape and idk stuff like that

doesn't mean i won't talk to them or even be friends but i definitely don't respect their taste. i guess we just won't talk about it lol

also people who watch soap operas yeah well i just laugh, doesn't mean we can't get along

I kind of do... well usually I don't know people well enough to judge on this basis but of the few I do I definitely am judgmental. Like one of my friends only ever watches anything U.S. made. She's Asian but adamantly refuses to watch anything from Asia. In my mind she is like a reverse racist... Hmm makes me kinda angry just thinking about it.

Now that I think about it, there are also those that, when you ask the question, will respond with whatever is popular at the time. These also make me angry because it's like they have no minds of their own! I- I don't even know you anymore! (ノД`)・゜・。

It really depends what they are watching. For example, if they are specifically watching asian/loli/amputee porn.

.......yeah

That's kind of like judging people by their favorite color... pretty stupid.

You can listen, watch, and read whatever you want, as long as you don't harm anyone.

Oh noooo

I like some yaoi. It's well written!

If that is your cup of tea, go for it. I'm talking about if some guy I knew openly said he liked Yaoi for the BL I would feel too uncomfortable to be around him. I don't completely know what Yaoi is about since I can't catch myself even trying it. To me Yaoi contains BL which makes me uncomfortable and I won't watch it even if the story was great. Perhaps if BL was to draw in female viewers but it isn't a focus of the series then maybe... For example: I know Yuri shows for females makes some of them feel uncomfortable and it's not their cup of tea. Yaoi just happens to not be my cup of tea.

Generally no. There are exceptions though. Anyone who genuinely thinks that SAO is good, and not so bad it's good, loses respect from me.

I feel like everyone judges others. for example if you are interviewing someone for a job, than of course your going to judge them. I think its human nature, and we don't really think about it. To a certain degree it may be very annoying when someone judges you for your favorite anime etc.

I consider anyone a liar if they say 'Family Guy is funny', or 'Seth Macfarlane is a comedic genius'. Liars! Every single one of them!

No. If it doesn't physically or mentally harm me in any way, I cannot judge another's character based off of their tastes.
