I'm on the fence with dubstep. There's some bad dubstep with only bass drops and then there are good dubstep that has a balance. Personally I like dj-Jo. https://www.youtube.com/user/djJoMusicChannel Do you think that dubstep will become popular in the future and how do you think it will evolve if any?

At first when I listened to dubstep I didn't care for it at all. I thought it was terrible and just a bunch of annoying noises. But it's grown on me and I like to listen to it once and a while, I'm more of a heavy metal type of person tbh. Anyways not really sure if it'll become popular in the future, I wouldn't be surprised if it did tho. But I can't picture it being on the radio considering older people still listen to the radio and they'd probably complain a whole lot. A lot of Dubstep is shit still now anyways so idk really lol. Anything can happen I guess.

This is my opinion, if you don't agree then fine... But don't start a argument about it...

Dubstep is NOT music due to it just being high bass and nothing worth listening to...

I won't start an argument but I do disagree. It is all a matter of opinion though.

Well I guess it depends on what kind of Dubstep you listen to. I am involved with a lot of video edits that use EDM and as a result some use Dubstep. I tend to favor the cleaner and less mechanical sounding Dubstep, which I think people instantly associate with. I personally prefer House and D&B the most with Trap as a close second. I really like smooth, clean bass so really mellow songs with some deep bass are my favorite (such as this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lh4brL7PC2E (only if you have subs will you really know)). I follow 4 music promoters on Youtube and all of them are EDM. I do listen to Rap and Metal/mix sometimes but I listen to EDM the most. A lot of people I know, don't like Dubstep very much, but like other genres of EDM without knowing it because everyone instantly calls stuff Dubstep. So I don't see Dubstep itself becoming popular and I doubt EDM will on the radio, period. One can hope though.

As for how it will evolve, it always is and isn't. Just like any genre there are songs you think are good and aren't. Thanks to this some artist stick to the program and others try new things. A newish genre called Future Bass is starting to become more popular and it is certainly different sounding from other EDM genres. It all really comes down to what you like and that's all.

What I found my problem with dubsteb to be is that even tracks I initially really like they wear down really fast and get boring. I have not heard any good dubstep in a long time either. I dont dislike a good dubstep track, but they are few and far between nowadays.

I think there are two or three that I like, but listening to them I don't think they're traditional dubstep. Overall I'm not a huge fan, but I'm also not one of those pricks who judges people for their taste in music.
