Casselberry, Florida police officer Matthew Blunt was suspended for one, 10-hour shift without pay after sending an image of Fuko from Clannad with the message "Aw, sh*t n****" from his personal phone to his supervisor Kristine Pamatian's department-paid cell phone. Blunt was celebrating his win of US$32 in the lottery.

This is silly, and it was definitely his fault. If you want to send shit like this send it using personal phones and keep it off of the company's equipment. People should watch what they view/send on anything company owned. If the gentleman sent that image to her personal phone they couldn't do shit. I'am sure he wasn't really thinking due to him just winning the lotto. I do believe it was innocent, just a joke, no big deal. Some may find it funny, some may not.

Also the man has just won the lottery so I'm sure he's not crying over the lost of a day's pay.

$32 is not comparable to a days pay... Unless you are mowing a lawn maybe

"Aw shit nigga." He was happy that he won some money. He wasn't saying anything offensive about black people. If he said something like "just won some money, time to buy niggers," that would be offensive.

It was very unprofessional of him to send that message to his boss's work phone, but that's the only stupid thing he did. Let's hope he didn't lose much from that 10-hour shift suspension.

Is it $32.00 or $32,000? I was thinking that he had won 32K.

It says $32. So that's what I'm going to assume is meant there. I highly doubt a news agency would list that incorrectly. The whole conversation on the phone reeks of sarcasm. Which is why I find this stupid at best.

It's $32. If he had won $32,000, he wouldn't care about losing a day of work.

For the record I did the math and the pay is average pay for a ten hour shift for him would be $17.78

I do stuff like this all the time with my boss and coworkers. It all depends on the work environment, regardless of the job type.

He did something stupid and got burned. Losing a bit of pay is better than being responsible for loss of life or injury which also can be a result of doing something stupid.

I think it was dumb of them to punish him BUT I think it was more idiotic to send what he sent to
a known company(police dept) phone with everything going on today. It not like it was illegal or
anything but it most definitely not that bright. I put this up there with people doing bad things and
putting it on facebook or youtube. Just not smart. Think about your actions before you follow
through.

Whoops!! I guess I should've looked over the conversations first. I was just looking over the post and saw $32 and lottery. I assumed that he hit it big.

"Blunt was celebrating his win of US$32 in the lottery." So he was celebrating his win of $32.00? WOW!! I guess some money is better than no money.

Maybe it was sarcasm.

I don't think the anime was the problem, we could only hope the Supervisor wasn't an African Descendant.

I don't even know why this is news other than the fact it was a cop involved, had this been a McDonalds employee then this wouldn't have been a topic and no one would of cared.

Are you saying he made $17.78 an hour or less than $2 an hour? You might want to check your math again. Maybe I'm just reading this wrong.
