Oh wait. They're dead.

Not quite. If you are talking about suicide using car fumes rather than accidental exposure then you do have the prior anxiety and related physical symptoms before the attempt and then (depending on whether you try to knock yourself out first) a minute or so of coughing and animal panic before you lose consciousness. Also, strictly speaking it is not a simple case of carbon monoxide poisoning as you are breathing in a chemical soup (exact components of the soup vary by fuel type). In the case of diesel fuels very little carbon monoxide is produced, so you are more likely to die from asphyxiation - and if one of the other chemicals doesn't knock you out that would be a nasty way to go as you slowly choke to death.

Helium. Human bodies don't have the necessary triggers to warn our brain that something is up so you just slip into deep sleep and die.

Interesting suggestion. Makes me wonder why it isn't used in capital punishment because lethal injection and the electric chair are both infamously clumsy and painful ways to go. Also it's more viable to me than carbon monoxide, because while that's a good way to go it's very difficult to get a clean supply of carbon monoxide: it tends to be polluted by other products of burning.

If you're just going to stifle you may as well stifle in hydrogen ... then your corpse could be flash-cremated on death.

20 gage shotgun in your mouth pointed towards the top of your head. 99.99% you will die. That's how Kurt Cobain died. Look at how it worked for him.

I'd imagine simply passing away in your sleep is the least painful since you're not likely to feel anything.

Burning coal in a sealed room is the best way to die. You just fall asleep and not feel a thing.

Resumé

By Dorothy Parker

Razors pain you;
Rivers are damp;
Acids stain you;
And drugs cause cramp.
Guns aren’t lawful;
Nooses give;
Gas smells awful;
You might as well live.

I'm too lazy to argue, so sure. Whatever this guy says.

новичок -5. "Novichok-5". Except, it's a WMD (chemical weapon), and it's not something you can gain access to easily. If you wanted to, you'd have to go through the Russians, and we all know how the Russians are when they fight.

It's all alleged, but Novichok-5 will practically kill you the instant you inhale it.

But anyway, I can't come up with a better example, and I'm about to have din-din.

Honestly this thread has devolved into the best way to kill yourself and I'm not sure what that says about everyone.

You know something strange about this a forensic detective "man-guy" lol came to my class once and he said something that made me think. He said that there is no such thing as "pasing away in your sleep" or "Dying from old age". He said that that's impossible and that it was something that ended the persons life, either something failing internally, some kind of respiratory thing or something. Thank god it's not painful because the person is asleep but something happens besides the dangerous sleep.

As far as this whole topic i think the good old people at the suicide hotline should come offer some help, but it's not like i'm one to talk

Obviously, watch anime until you slip into unconsciousness and die from dehydration. Most peaceful way out
