Any plans on getting the manga app supported on the Kindle Fire? I find it strange that a tablet with reading in mind doesn't have the manga app supported. The app is available on the amazon store, but it doesn't mention that it's not compatible with the device that it's intended to be used on.

I got the APK from http://www.1mobile.com/crunchyroll-manga-download-1138746-direct.html and side-loaded it. Seems to be working, for as little as I read manga...

I may end up doing that in the short term, but there shouldn't be any need to do this.

I agree. That seems to be a hassle just for to use one app.

Adding to this. I feel like I've been waiting for this to work with my kindle for years. I know there is a working Android version, yet there's nothing I can do. I do have the app on my phone, but it is an inferior experience.

I almost feel like us kindle users are lowest priority. I don't even know if I ever have seen any official word on the issue. The whole situation has been frustrating to say the least. It leaves a bad taste in my mouth

Please Crunchyroll, I like you guys so much. I don't want to be sad.

ERMAGERHD. Same. Problem.
I even saw the ad while watching Yona of The Dawn! And I was really excited about it!
My mom doesn't want to buy my manga, so a free option from a company I love was like a dream!
And then... I see that it's not compatible with my Kindle Fire HD 7!!

I hope that that CR releases a compatible app very soon. Otherwise... I dont know what to do ;-;

I don't see it happening anytime soon, especially considering they also took the Crunchyroll anime app off the Kindle store. If you had downloaded it before, you have it, but later users are out of luck. I'm not sure if the Crunchyroll manga app was ever in the Kindle store though.

I also ended up downloading the apk from somewhere, to sideload, though I used a site called apk-dl.com. I installed an antivirus as well, for backup. It seems to be working mostly fine, though the same issue as on the smartphone of it occasionally logging out and not letting you sign in.

I'm happy with this as a solution so far. Though I wish crunchyroll would let people download the apk directly from them, so I wouldn't have to rely on possible security vulnerabilities from a 3rd party. Kind of how you can get the Mozilla Firefox apk directly from Mozilla and onto your Kindle, if you know where to look (also not in the Kindle store).
