(Only Physical Pain)

I caught one of the worst leg cramps in my life. It was one of the most excruciatingly painful cramps I've ever had.

Imagine feeling something crawling underneath your calf muscles and trying to burst it's way out. Ugh.

(Aliens vs Predator was on the box when this was happening...)

I've felt worse pains(Caused by a much more severe injury.) then this, but since this was most recent I decided to display it as an example. Because that **** hurt like hell.

So I want to ask.

What was the worst physical pain you've experienced up until now?

Is this thread about physical pain only? Or could it extend to emotional pain, severe depression, intense frustration, very high anxiety, etc. ?

Because the most painful things I've experienced in life...are not in the form of physical pain.

hmm...i think it depends, at the time any pain can seem like the worse you've ever had but it always varies. personally I've been burned in the back of the neck, kneed into paralysis by a friend, and had a crippling pain that left me motionless for a few hours but I can't decide which was worse. Plus life hasn't passed me by so I'm sure somethings worse to come.

Sorry about that, I knew I didn't quite differentiate the types of pain. Physical pain was what I was going for.

I have endometriosis, along with a vitamin and iron deficiency because of my menstrual cycle so every month I experience an unbearable pain. It's worse when I forget to take vitamin and iron supplements. I also get really sick. Horrible lower abdominal cramps/mini-contractions all around.

One time last year it was so bad, I thought I was experiencing appendicitis so I went to visit the E.R. It hurt so bad I couldn't move or walk, and I was vomiting. Glad it wasn't, but now I don't know what I'd do if I did actually have appendicitis.

But I've never broken a bone or had surgery. Maybe the pain won't compare to this?

Diverticulitis. This is where you get a bulging pouch in your intestines that can burst if not treated. Think of your worst stomach ache, and then multiply it by 100. Ended up having 12 inches of large intestine removed, was in the hospital for about 10 days and then couldn't work for a month.

When I was in a motorcycle accident and shattered my right forearm, the pain from that was less.

Lol Charlie Horses are horrible cramps. Thankfully they don't last long.

For me, my monthly cramps are the WORST. No joke. I've broken all of my fingers, my nose, my leg, my foot, my ankle, my hythoid (or however it's spelled...it's basically the adam's apple), my front two teeth are dead (root canals and I have to get them bleached every now and again. I got hit in the face...don't recommend it.), dislocated my shoulder a couple of times, jammed knees, hyper-extended my right knee, torn all tendons (almost all) in my right ankle, torn hamstring, skier's thumb (I can't give a thumbs up because of this lol), many concussions, almost died of an aspirin od (long story), and probably other things that I forgot to mention. I even got to watch one of my ankle surgeries (which was awesome btw). I hardly cried for all of those things (like not at all), yet cramps will throw me into a sobbing mess where I'm taking prescription drugs to cope so I can knock my self out and hopefully when I wake up, the worst of the cramps have passed.

I'd rather break bones and go through surgery than have cramps. I'm the same way so I completely understand this.

Boiling water = 2nd degree nearly 3rd degree burns on my left thigh and stomach. It felt like I was on fire and I probably screamed the loudest I ever did in my life. And I was alone when it happened. The funny thing was, it was during a hot summer day and I was lucky enough to be wearing a T-shirt and jeans... just wish the T-shirt was a little heavier though. I can't imagine though how it must feel to be burned over your whole body though... I only experienced half of hell that day, what about those people? >-<
