I bought clothes online just to see how it would go,

cost me 5 dollars a shirt, and 10 dollars for shorts.

got about 5 things for 50 $

not too bad not too bad

The amount of humble bundles I've bought and steam games, like in comparison in a store they would sell on average for at least 20 to 40 dollars for one, online you could get one for 2.49 or 5 so yeah savings

I made a lego/ bionicle robot once and sold it on ebay for 15 dollars, with the amount of parts in it, I should of sold it for more!

Only thing I liked about ebay was being able to use paypal.

Last thing I bought on ebay was a car. Everything turned out excellent, but i'm not going to ever do that again lol. Was too nerve racking.

Anyways yeah I love Amazon

Trusted sellers are ok most of the time. Anything after that be careful if it sounds and looks too good to be true its probably too good to be true. You have the people who have bids at 0.99 cents but reserve is like 500 bucks... I've never understood that crap just list it for how much you want minimum and increased bids from there. They have made things better with ebay buyer protection program but honestly that is also a pain in the ass to deal with.

Ebay can be a foul mistress at times. I have bought and sold things on there since eBay started. I have sold things at a loss and I have made crazy profit off the simplest of items I never would have thought would sell well. I've only had 1 bad buying experience though where it took eBay getting involved to finally get my item shipped to me. I only had to wait 4 months after I purchased it. Luckily eBay does seem to get involved in matters like this when you report people.

I wouldn't let it deter you too much. You can still get great deals on eBay.

I do prefer Amazon. but sometimes a deal/bid is too good to pass up on eBay.

yup it happened to me, I was gonna get 4 wall scrolls a guy had bundled together. I was at the highest bid of $15. about a few hours before it would have ended he pulled it and reposed it with a starting bid of $30 >.> never again.... amazon FTW

It's only happened to me once on eBay as well. I was going to buy a 100 dollar knife for only 20 dollars but the seller took it down half way through the week. Granted I haven't bid on it yet, I'm more of an auction sniper, but I can understand why he did what he did.

I think sellers shouldn't be allowed to remove items right before the bidding time ends.

I've had this happen to me four times, where I've been the highest bidder (and going to get a great deal) when the seller decides not to sell it a half day before the bidding ends. It's really frustrating to have this happen, and it makes me take note to not buy from this seller.

The most recent event was that I was going to win a bid for a set of Love Live! post cards for $4....the seller took the item off and now it's back up at a starting bid of like $8. What kind of crap is that?

Has anyone else experienced this?

No, but all I know is that if you don't want to sell the item, THEN DON'T BE A JERK TO THE WINNING BIDDER! I'm sorry it happened to you!

Oh well. Means they're not in any hurry to get rid of the product.

EBay got to go along with PayPal for purchases. I don't like that. Putting a middleman.

That's why I like Amazon. I just pay directly from my bank account.
