So after almost 25 years, Twin Peaks is finally coming back to television. What's even better is the fact that David Lynch is back to direct the episodes which he also co-wrote with fellow creator Mark Frost. After walking from the project in April citing funding arguments with Showtime, Lynch has now announced that he is back and that there is now going to be even more than the originally planned 9 episodes set for a 2016 release.

I for one couldn't be happier. Twin Peaks isn't a show for everyone, but for the fans who got it and love Lynch's style, this is great news. I was too young to watch the show in the 90's, but after buying the DVD gold edition box set about 10 years ago, I was hooked, and that ending.......can't wait to see what's happened to Cooper and co in the remaining years. It is a show that in many ways defy's genre, it has drama, comedy, mystery, horror and loads of awesome quirky shit, and even to this day is still unique.

So, to any Twin Peaks fans, are you excited about the prospect of new episodes, or would you rather have it left how it was? Either way, That show you like is going to come back in style!

Glad David is back in the fold. I can't picture anyone else taking over him, its his creation. I'm planning on re-watching TP on Netflix this summer now that the network season season is almost over.

Yeah, bit of a pity about Michael Ontkean. I'm sure the interest in the show will probably increase closer to the release date!
