I don't know how I feel about this...

Although I could never really see a "Robot Uprising" or a scenario like Terminator playing out in reality

But it is indeed possible when I sit back and think about it. Their "teachings" could be the beginning of the end! But it's not like it could happen anytime soon, could happen in the next Millennium or Century for all we know.

What do you guys think about all of this?

Let's ask the Doctor about this, he's faced the Daleks and the Cybermen plenty of times. Oh wait a minute, he's only fiction.

Worst picture choice for a serious article. Of all the fictional robots, GIR? We have nothing to worry about

I saw a documentary on how the Japanese see robots, it's the opposite of how we do. The west fear them, they don't. I generally view them the same way. They'll help humanity, not annihilate them.

If it's programmed right, then I see no problem.
One of my long term goals is to become an engineer capable of program human emotions into robots.

The uprising of irate robot customers!

I think robot wars will be a better alternative to human wars because the winner is the one with the better resources and understanding of how the universe works.
Then when the world has been unified under the one flag, the wars will stop and world peace begins.
Then humans will upload their minds into databanks and live in a more compact way that allows for a greater population.

I'll just have some magnets handy to turn them all into country folk singers.

"To deal with common customer complaints" I see no harm in this unless you count the harm it does to easily butthurt people. There's always going to be that irritating customer so maybe it will make it be a bit more humanly. What's next? Is there going to be a robot telling you about their day instead of listening to music? Unless they're ACTUALLY going to make robots that answer the phone and become visibly angry i see no harm in an angry automated voice on the phone or something.
Unless i missed something important in that article.
Then disregard everything i said and GET TO THE BUNKER!
THE ROBOT UPRISING IS UPON US!

Edit: I did miss something sort of important. It IS made to simulate anger but is supposed to "defuse customer anger" Doesn't seem like a robot uprising is upon us quite yet. Probably soon though.
