At ACen, I was watching the stream, when someone asked about any new anime.
I copied and pasted the name from notepad on my computer 'Ansatsu Kyoushitsu' or Assassination Classroom, and a flag popped up, if posted, i would be banned.
Anybody know why this was considered a bad post?

Yeah, I feel you.
I typed "I died from cuteness", and I got a warning.

There is a "Mind your manners or I'll wash your mouth out with soap" message that is triggered when you use words that are on a certain word list. Unfortunately the list contains words that are frequently used in unobjectionable ways, or which are part of completely unobjectionable other words. We are working on getting that list trimmed to be more reasonable (the powers that be won't let us get rid of it completely), but I don't know when that will happen; mods have been asking for a fix ever since we noticed it being used. Trust me folks, I feel your pain every time I want to direct a compliment to a cosplayer wearing amazing glasses, or squee about Assassination Classroom, or even say hi to Deadpool, or a bunch of other things I've been autoscolded about (and don't now remember off the top of my head).

As far as I know the threat of ban is just a threat, and all that actually happens is the perceived-as-too-naughty message doesn't get displayed. However, just in case there is some autoban that I don't know about, I'd suggest trying not to repeat the same message often, and to learn workarounds until we get things fixed. The autonanny is not very smart and stuff like A$$ Cla$$ gets by it just fine.

Mods actually watching the livestream are smarter, so if you do say offensive things that get by the filter (even if you are spelling creatively), we actually will ban you from the livestream if we see it.

Oh yes, the pain I feel trying to adjust my glasses when I see a Shirou cosplayer.

You might want to read the live-stream chat rules. It does mention under the "Sexual Issues" heading:

Kiss/hug... - please, don't ask people to kiss. Don't suggest someone physically interact with someone else against their will. If a couple wants to kiss, they will, and that's cute.. otherwise, please don't try to force potential strangers into physical situations they may find uncomfortable.

Yes, I just read that after I was banned and it still makes no sense. I didn't force them to do a hug. I don't see a hug as a sexual act. If I stay banned for it then it doesn't bother me. I didn't do anything wrong. I can just go support a different anime stream.

I don't regularly browse this forum, so I just saw this now. Now that you are aware of the rule, I'll be happy to unban you (if you are still banned from livestream) if you let me know you won't do it again. --Quote me here or PM me.

It's not that it's sexual per se, but that it's encouraging folks to interact with others in ways the other person might not find comfortable. And though you may not intend it that way, chatters posting the request (which honestly, looks as much like a demand as a polite request most of the time) can feel like pressure.

Yes, some of the people on the livestream will be very comfortable hugging each other. If they want to do so spontaneously among themselves, that's often fine. However, pleas from the livestream chat, especially when repeated over and over, create a dynamic that can get kind of creepy.

For example, if someone says "Mako hug Ryuko" they may well be asking complete strangers to hug. Maybe the cosplayer playing Mako likes hugging, and encouraged by the request reaches out toward the person cosplaying Ryuko--maybe "Mako" is so hyped in general by being at a con that she doesn't even notice any body language that says "please don't" and essentially grabs that other person. The Ryuko cosplayer might not like hugging or being hugged by strangers, or might not like hugging at all, and if so has just been placed in a very awkward situation -- being hugged without wanting it, or having to say no in front of a crowd of people.

Rules regarding requests/demands for others to interact in some specific way are there to encourage being respectful toward others, and to prevent to some extent placing others in situations where they feel uncomfortable or unsafe.
