Like the concept, but (since I haven't heard of any of those in the released category) are those the "metal" releases thus far? I have heard of Thy Art is Murder and The Black Dahlia Murder, though.

More metal releases thus far:

Enslaved-- In Times
Ensiferum-- One Man Army
Korpiklaani-- Noita
Shattered Sun-- Hope Within Hatred
Nightwish-- Endless Forms Most Beautiful
10 years-- From Birth to Burial
Faith No More-- Sol Invictus
Coal Chamber-- Rivals

Well, I'm in Seoul so that's why I know Abyss, Fecundation, Mangnani, and the Soondoongi Compilation. Kendrick and Lupe are more between rap and hip hop and everything else fits in the extreme metal category. (ex. grindcore)

Ok, Global metal I like it, was just curious since I hadn't heard of them. Yeah usually only hear Metal from the Americas and Europe, so if there are other metal bands form other country's I'm all for it!

Going to sleep so I'll wake up to new Cattle information and edit it into this post. First, I updated my original posts with links to songs or full albums, whichever was available for each artist. Below are some things I forgot are coming out.

Coming
Archagathus / Nahu 7"
Pulmonary Fibrosis / Sulsa Split EP
Sithter / Gonguri Split EP
Spermbloodshit 7"
Perpetual Penance by Coffins (Not a new release, per say, but there's more information on that when you click the title of the release.)
Craving to Eternal Slumber by Coffins releases sometime in August
The Book of Suffering by Cryptopsy (Click to support their indiegogo campaign for more information)

*Gonguri, Nahu, Sulsa, Fecundation, and Mangnani are all from Korea. All but two artists on the Soondoongi Comp. are from Korea too, the two that aren't are Patisserie (Jpn) and Die Pigeon Die (Aus). I think I'll drop any available links to the artists on the comp sometime.

Edit: Holy shit. The new Cattle Decapitation ) is SICK! Details in the spoiler since their Facebook post was long.

*First track from their 2015 album, The Anthropocene Extinction*

Firstly, the new Cattle... WOW. Manufactured Extinct has an amazing atmosphere. The vocals are on par as per usual. Can't wait for the album to drop! I could go on and on about this, so, moving on...

Secondly, I had no idea Cryptopsy were planning a new album! So I'm grateful for this thread. They're definitely a band I love to support, and I've had the privilege to see them in concert a few times and I've met them as well - suuuper nice guys (not to mention they make me proud as a Canadian!). Thanks for the link to their indiegogo, ericjonrussell

The atmosphere on the first track really is something. The psuedo cleans are way better than on Monolith and I love that and my favourite part of the song is definitely that goddamn solo. I think what Cryptopsy is doing is cool since they want this to be a series of EPs so they can give fans more tracks instead of waiting years for albums to drop. I've seen some people online express interest only if the original vocalist, Lord Worm, was in it which I can understand but I wanna see what they put out regardless of the vocalist.

The new Enslaved album is pretty cool. I think it's the most exciting thing they've done since "Isa" in 2004. Ghost Bath also released a new album, "Moonlover". It's black metal for people who don't like black metal hah. It's very atmospheric, very pretty. The new A Forest of Stars album, "Beware the Sword You Cannot See", is pretty cool as well. Peste Noir's "La Chaise-Dyable" is a nice slice of atmospheric, energetic French black metal. The new Blind Guardian album is great! Definitely their best album since "A Night at the Opera". I see Arcturus has a new album coming out, but I haven't heard anything they've done since "The Sham Mirrors" back in 2002. Charach Angren has a new cheesefest of an over the top symphonic black metal album out, "This Is No Fairytale", but I haven't heard it. I really like their album "Death Came Through a Phantom Ship". It's really over the top, and the whole thing is about pirates, but it's a fun album, and the band are obviously having fun with it too. A great drinking album. Oh, and the new Drudkh album, "A Furrow Cut Short", sounds like it's going to be a good album. I've only heard a couple songs from it so far, but I enjoyed what I heard. Symphony X has a new album coming out. I can't say I'm overly excited about it though, as I found their last few albums to be a bit bland. Anything after "V", and maybe "Odyssey", is just "mehhh". New Ghost album coming out, too! I have a feeling it's either going to be really good or really bad hah. But yeah, there have definitely been a few gems dropped in the '015.

Awesome, I had totally forgotten Ghost was releasing their third studio album this year, so thanks for the reminder hahah. I agree, it'll prob be very good or very bad. I'm hoping for the very good obvi, and as both their albums and their EP are fantastic I think it's safe to say it'll be great, but I won't set the bar TOO high, lest I get disappointed hahah

Looking forward to the new Soilwork Album out later this year.

Yeah, I think the worst case scenario with Ghost is they go too far in one direction & make an uneven album. I can't see them making a completely shit album. Man, that first Ghost album though... When it was released, every American stood up and said, "Ain't no Jesus in THIS house anymore". Five years later, Jesus is 80% less believable & 5x's more likely to appear in a Dale Earnhardt jersey. *chant* USA. USA. USA.
