Nope, men and women aren't equal, nor do I believe anything is equal when it comes to humans way too many factors come into play to truly say whats equal, in certain aspects yes they are equal, but in the big picture there's no such thing as equality, IMO.

They are not equal physiologically. They are also not equal in society, but that's to be expected.

There's really no such thing as perfect equality among human beings, anyway. All we can do is put each to use based on his/her respective strengths and try for reasonable social equality rather than pretend that everyone is of equal value in all circumstances.

"Everyone is equal" is way too broad. Equal in what respect? Blanket statements like that ought to be examined carefully by zooming in and thinking about what positions trends, specializations, natural tendencies and such. It is easy to take the moral high ground and throw out blanket statements but I don't think it actually helps anyone.

I say men and women are equal as cats are to dogs. Society pushes for them to be the same while being treated the same, but in the end, they're cats and dogs.

Women are not equal to men now & that's basically fact lmao

but men & women aren't all that different even biologically.
Female is meant to be the default sex. Females actually have better bodies than men. Their brain develops quicker, they have 2 X chromosomes, their bodies can handle having a baby inside them & give birth to them. this is all I can think of atm.
Men being physically stronger than women I guess is true in a few cases. The thing is men are more stronger in their upper bodies, while women are stronger in their lower bodies.

Psychologically, possibly. Because like I said, their brains develop quicker & also run a bit differently.

Men, women, Man/women, Woman/Men. I may not understand em all, but why shouldn't we all have equal rights across the board?

Saying "men are biologically stronger than women" is erasure of trans people. Let's not do that.

I don't know the science behind it but to me the only thing that says they aren't whatever gender the chromosomes say is the fact that they simply don't want to be that gender (and maybe a lil bit of surgery if they got it like that.) When you break it down to the roots a man is a man and a woman is a woman. It's just some people decided to want to be the other thing and now we call it trans. I can't really call it it's own gender.

Best believe they still deserve equal rights though.

Also how come whenever there's a controversial topic that people don't want to talk about they call it bait?

Bait for what? Just because you don't have something to say doesn't mean someone is trying to trick you into saying something else. idgi

I don't think that's why they call it bait.
Bait usually applies to when someone is obviously trolling/being sarcastic just to get people riled up.

While I think that everyone should be treated fairly and just, with equal rights, I agree that no one is equal, everyone is different. Science deals us a card and we just do the best we can, be a good person, etc.

Now this is a rather interesting thought I would say, keeping away from the fact the Y chromosome looks like a battered X, and the more technical biology.. I'd like to hear what you would think about this.

Aside from being able to handle having a baby inside of them, and the difficulty of that, when it comes to weightlifting and raw physical power, which more often than not defined by the upper body strength, and as you, and studies mention, men have higher averages. Until the more recent civilized world came about, men were the hunter/gatherer type, that depended on strength to survive. Looking at evolution, its likely that women are men have gotten more different over the ages, with men retaining more of their prior strength, and women picking up more traits such as their sped up brain development?

I haven't done a lot of research into this to be honest, but studying bio-medical, it's making me want to looking into genetic differences from earlier species like Homo erectus.

Also, in the old Usenet days, when every response to a thread would show up, the idea was to find the perfect controversy button (most were naive enough to think they could find it) to see how many people you could trick into responding to "your" threads, and career trolls would brag about "shutting down the group" when the posters would fill up the Subject lists with nothing else.
In other words, they were a bunch of big, fat, manipulative frauds, but at least they weren't gullible suckers who said "No no, I MUST respond with six paragraphs about why he's wrong about the equality of men and women!"

IOW, "bait" is what you catch dumb fish with on a hook.
A little healthy dose of cynicism goes a long, long way.
