I don't mind the odd article up every now and then, but i have been seeing a lot recently. Also Tumblr is just kind of a bad place, it should stay in it's little bubble and leave the rest of the internet alone.

I'd sooner not see discussions on such matters silenced outright, but we really don't need a new thread essentially asking the same question a different way. Even if one is inclined to argue against the position that having so many threads on the same topic limits the breadth of discussion on the board (and I am so inclined since there are topics beyond those on pages 1 and 2, and there's nothing stopping anyone from finding and replying to them but laziness), it is nevertheless a solid argument that there simply is no need to fractionate a discussion on feminism to the extent it has been here.

We do not need separate threads asking what fundamentally amounts to the same question asked several different ways. The question of why one is a feminist, or why one is not a feminist, or why one is an anti-feminist, may all be addressed in the same thread with no substantial inhibition on the ability to have an orderly, productive dialogue which is focused on a single primary topic or set of immediately related topics. The practice from this point forward ought to be that a new thread is opened if, and only if, a substantially different topic which could not be addressed without disrupting the dialogue in presently available topics emerges.

For example, a discussion on the current state of women's issues in Europe might begin in the "Why are you a feminist?" thread, but if it is to be a topic explored in particular depth it may warrant its own thread since it is a topic of sufficient complexity and distinction from the initial topic. Meanwhile, the topic of why one is a feminist at all should remain primarily within the original thread.

I've tried to keep things all condensed in a single thread, but new ones keep getting formed and people keep moving to them because they're new.

We should all start reporting and deleting any thread about Gender, equality, feminism and all the shit in between.

Normally, I would've just moved your poll to the Polls section. But it's not a poll if you are just using it to advocate for people to report things that aren't against the rules.

Maybe make a thread in Site Suggestions for a rules update if that's what you're after?
