No way. Even Earthworm Jim was better than Courage.

I don't really care if American cartoons aren't that good today. I'm fine with watching the old DC animated series, Avatar/Korra, and Hey Arnold.

They need better artists. The american animation shows are so sloppy because they prioritize quantity over quality. Then they need some story. Avatar: The Last Airbender is a really good example of what good artists can do. Now, we just need more people to be on their level. We need stuff that is not just comedy, but has some serious plot genres. Honestly, the only animations I can think of are (a) Pixar (but those are mainly 3D CG) (b) Comedy such as Family Guy, American Dad, South Park, The Simpsons, King of the Hill, etc.

American animation nowadays is pretty damn fantastic - plenty of great stuff on there that is far better than crappy loli, pedo shit and moe infested animes.

From the 60's - the very early 2000's mostly - American animation was very good. Then it went mostly bad for a while, but it has most certainly picked up again very well. I especially love the 90's to early 2000's series; stuff like - Powerpuff Girls, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Dexter's Laboratory, Rugrats, As Told By Ginger, Hey Arnold!, The Wild Thornberries...and much, much, much more.

Besides, Japanese anime is based off American animation/comics, Disney and Western style cartoons anyways. Before that influence, Japanese media was VASTLY different, very Japanese, very culturally confined. But with the (main) touch of American influence, things like Sally the Witch and other early series got a start and used American and even Western style in general (such as comedy, art, culture, speeches even) to influence it.

Over time, Japan has added their own cultural things and anime has evolved to what it is today - some of it utterly disgusting unfortunately. But without that Western influence in the first place, anime would be vastly different.

Ugh...weebos!

Fucking terrifying as a child.

That traumitization is part of the reason it was such a great show.

Fun Fact for a while the tv tropes for nightmare fuel in the series refused to have that image cause they considered it to creepy.

The only Cartoons I like are from Disney which are Gravity Falls and Star Vs the Forces of Evil.

Though SvtFoE is till pretty new with only like 7 episodes. It like Sailor Moon and Gravity Falls had a baby.
