Just saw this.

My comments:
i think the guy's english is already bad enough - and he says Singaporeans speak funny.
I mean hey, they are not even imitating us correctly or so to speak! I bet those taiwan celebs can't even write a "I Want to be a ___ When I Grow Up" essay. Please man - we need proof/evidence to back up your nonsense! Funny of them to criticise us even they don't even speak good english. They have no rights man.
Obviously they haven't met enough Singaporeans like us.

Singaporean who's pissed off

i think accent is not really important.. what's important is that singaporean's english standard are better.. imagine someone who can speak proper eng command but with their so-called "weird" accent and someone who cant speak proper command but with eng accent.. which will sound funnier?

Apparently they have over-rated their english a bit. I am sure that singaporeans english standard is definately much higher. Don't care to be borthered with comments that are narrow-sighted and baised.

Singaporean's spoken english sure is better than what they describe. Some of those taiwanese celeb can't even articulate properly themselves.

accent is rather normal, even different european countries have different accents, which might make them sounds weird or even funny to some ppl(british, irish accent).
