I have NO IDEA why I even STARTED watching this show, let alone why I'm following it through a THIRD season!

Perhaps it's because you're open-minded enough to be willing to explore things outside your typical "comfort zone".

Dog Days- started season 1 thinking wtf? a war were nobody dies instead you turn into some stuffed animal thing and the characters have animal characteristics. I finished the entire series and my younger son got hooked because the show made him happy very little conflict kinda like a feel good fairy tale. The funny thing is they even made a season 2 and I watched that also.

I never understood why I liked Girls und Panzer.

It's terribly predictable and populated with stereotype characters. It's fluff without even sufficient fanservice to make up for its lack of substance.

So why the hell have I watched it multiple times?

This is the question i ask myself everytime the new episode appear and i watch it. Although i really hate Hime's " thing " being animated with top quality.

I think (going back to the op) that being able to finish a show that you don't even like brings a satisfaction that finishing shows you like lacks. When you finish a show that you like, you're most likely going be sad/angry/upset it's done, whereas if you finish a show that you find at least outside of your interests, there's a bit of satisfaction in being able to complete something you may not have initially liked. Either that, or you're just a straight up masochist.

Wizard Barristers. I'm still shaking my head that I actually watched the whole thing.
This is how I felt while watching Plastic Memories but I dropped it.

I never thought I would watch slice of life type of animes. Most anime that I like were full of action and whatnot.

For me, it was a few years ago and the anime was .hack/sign. I was in shock that an anime could have so little character development and such an unmoving plodding story... I watched each episode thinking okay, the next episode is gonna pull it all together and my watching the last few will be worth it.

Nope.
