The Penetrator from Saints Row III. Somehow still more practical than most of the melee weapons named in this thread.

Probably the Lifehunt scythe from Dark Souls. Very powerful weapon, but it can kill you by using it. I love weapons like that because they usually look the coolest and are more skillful weapons, as they are more powerful than the others but possess something like the fact that they can kill the wielder that make other players stay away. They always have the interesting lore that's dark and stuff, and you look like a badass using them.

damn, its been so long since i played dark souls that i forgot about it,mrs.kellogs blade is definitely my favorite mythical weapon.

Gáe Bulg, first and foremost, with caladbolg being another prominent one in my mind.

Crafted from the bones of a sea monster and required a specific technique to use, Gáe Bulg truly is a special weapon. Once a body was pierced with it, it would open into many barbs - invariably causing great pain and death. To retrieve the spear, the victim had to to be cut open.

Cú Chulainn was the most prominent user of the spear but only used it as a last resort - too deadly and gruesome to use often.
