It'd be 80s disco night all the time, even while the sun's still shining out there! Go away, no one needs you, lousy fireball!

If I owned MTV, I'd be heterosexual, unlike most of Viacom--Which means both MTV would go back to the profitable core-channel business of promoting stars with music videos again, instead of shirtless teen-indulgent reality shows, whiny-girl sitcoms and ambiguously metaphoric reruns of Teen Wolf.
(But wait, do singers still make music videos nowadays, with no one to show them? No, seriously, I'm asking. )
Oh, and VH-1 would go back to showing 80's/90's music and pop-culture lists again, and leave the pop-gossip celebreality shows to the E! crowd. And, of course, bringing back the I Love the 80's shows, with a bit darn less of Hal Sparks and Michael Ian Black, ifyaknow what I mean...

Ah, to but dream of the Hetero takeover/reclaiming of Viacom....Next, we storm TVLand, and make them show actual reruns again, instead of Cougar sitcoms, retired TV stars and "Hot in Cleveland"!
Then, after getting a little overconfident and kicking out the jerk who hates BBCAmerica and wants it to show Star Trek reruns, we strap on our weapons and go after the big one, the dark satanic fortress itself--Kick out the already proudly-outed exec of Bravo, and make them show foreign films, operas and BBC art programs again! Out go the Real Housewives on their Project Runways!

Inaugural Beavis and Butthead marathon, then I'd change it back to what it was in the 80s and 90s.

Play nothing but Hip-Hop.

Alright what I would actually do would be to bring back Daria. Then the rest of the time I would run it like a personal radio station exposing everyone to the music I like.

Id promote Danny Brown and St. Vincents music to the level were they become National stars.

Probably stop airing shows like Teen Mom and all that similar to it.

Actually, yes, music videos are still made, but they're usually only shown on Youtube, and the very, very few times any TV channel shows music videos anymore. When I was still in college, MTV U (their college oriented channel, for those unfamiliar) was showing music videos more than the usual crap they show, but I also only really dropped by the parts of campus that had that on their TVs at certain times of the day, so even that isn't a solid answer.

But yes, music vids are still made.

I truly like your way of thinking from a business standpoint. MTV actually having music on it, TV Land going back to reruns, BBC America being all British shows, even Bravo going back to being what earned them their name years ago. It all actually makes sense...which is why it'll never happen *sigh*. Currently, I watch my music videos on hd cable, vevo, youtube and other small channels that play both old and new videos all day everyday. I watch my reruns on Cozi-tv, Antenna-tv, ME-tv and Get-tv among other classic tv networks that are spawning by the bushel. I watch my British tv through BBC-America, PBS, Acorn-tv, youtube and Hulu. The sad part is, a lot of what I watched on the 4 channels you mentioned still hasn't shown on ANY of the locations I mentioned in the last few sentences.

I would have it play some proper music for once. Basically, anything in my itunes would get played regardless of if it has a proper music video or not.
