Got my mom to watch an episode of Cardcaptor Sakura.... she was bored...
Then she saw an episode of Mahoromatic.... she laughed a couple times but she was bored....

If you get better results, more power to ya...

my mother hates anime, thinks its all that weird stuff.

probably because when i watch anime alone, all the epic scenes and talking happens

and then when someone walks into the room, fanservice kicks in

i have the worst timing ever

I watched some Initial D with both of my parents when we were at a Hotel, it was my dad's idea though. I also told my mom to watch Terror in Resonance but, she never got around to it. I know she'll like it though.

wouldn't be too difficult, I did get her to watch Agent Carter with me. Would have to be dubbed though, which sucks, and nothing too "out there". The wind Rises maybe?

Dude my dad walked in on the Nisemonogatari scene with Shinobu in the bath. Was on an internet lockdown for a fucking year.

I showed my mom Shingeki no Kyojin before. It was nice though it was far too intense for her.

I use to watch anime at any time in my TV, so my mom and other relatives know I'm watching anime.
They just don't care. Except for my sister. She only comes to watch anime with me if it's Arslan, My love Story, or Rinne
(I only watch ecchi stuff when there's nobody at home, or I watch it in the laptop with my headsets on.)

My mom has actually seen a few anime with my brothers and I. They were shows like Gundam Wing and Cowboy Bebop, maybe even an episode or FLCL, but the first thing that she saw with us was Golden Boy (an all time favorite of mine). She wanted to know what we were laughing about and had us start over. By the end of the disc she was laughing too, especially to the white out kiss scene. Heck I've even had my step-dad (an 'ole redneck from the mountains of West Virginia or at least I thinks that's were he said he was from) watch some of my anime and the one he really liked was Berserk.

GitS: Stand Alone Complex 2nd Gig, SAO, Yona of the Dawn, and Castle in the Sky are some that I introduced my parents to. They ask to borrow my anime DVDs sometimes. They are currently watching through Your Lie in April and are enjoying it, they take their time watching an anime. No marathons or anything. So maybe 2 days between episodes. I don't know how they can wait 2 days between watching some shows. The suspense is painful to me.

Mushi-shi season 1 episode 18, followed by episode 6. If she can get over it, FMA Brotherhood start to finish.

I'm not about to be easy on my mom, she rented Aliens and 12 Monkeys when I was in the second grade.

Would definitely throw in Grave of the Fireflies before any real conflict in FMA.

Too late for that in this universe and I wouldn't have asked. She never really forgave the Japanese after her oldest brother never came back from Iwo Jima.

We've never watched any anime together mainly because she lives in a different state and has very poor internet and has a very limited cap for where she is. She has watched a few of the movies on her own, what i dont remember but we tend to not have the same taste in movies/tv shows anyhow.

Now if my dad was still alive I think he would enjoy a lot of the more scifi type anime.
