I love playing Turned base RPG with good storyline.. Also Like Grandia part 2 battle system..

My First rpg is Dragon Warrior part 1 on NES, second one is Final Fantasy... I fall in love with Final Fantasy II on SNES.. That I played Final Fantasy II so many time I lost count.

Nowdays there any hardly decent RPG with turned base system :(. But just started playing PC turned base rpg :).

Does Anyone know a good Turned base rpg with good storyline for PC? I pretty much got all playstation RPG, and Playstation 2 as well.. Pretty much all console system.

Am just started on PC :].

My first (non-pencil-and-paper) RPG was a game called Phantasie II for the Apple IIC in the early '80s. On consoles, I started at Dragon Warrior (NES) in 1989, followed by the original Final Fantasy (NES) in 1990. (Ultima: Exodus happened at around the same time.) Unfortunately, I did not own a Sega console until I got a Genesis in 1993, so I missed the original Phantasy Star (until the PSP remake), but I at least got Phantasy Star II ... from the bottom of a bargain bin in 1995.

There lot of great rpg on playstation.. I love this Martial Art and Mecha type.. Xenogears, and Suikoden I, II, III, IV, and VI I liked how the Storyline progress.

I would have to say Xenogears in my opinions are best RPG ever.

Woke up at 2am one day when I was like 8 to play Final Fantasy Anthology (5/6). I think that is what really started getting me hooked on RPGs.

The first game that really got me into turn based JRPG's was Persona 4 Golden. Before then, I was never interested in those types of games as a whole.

My first rpg was pokemon
But if you don't count pokemon, then probably Final Fantasy X.

Pokémon counts, IMO. It's designed to be a gateway JRPG (... that somehow manages to have a really deep, non-gateway game play model if you look at it).

Final Fantasy 8. I never actually completed it before like few years ago...and even then the game frozen after I beat the last boss. To this day, it's still one of my favourite RPGs, even though it feels very grindy if you want to level up your characters. It actually isn't necessary due to level scaling enemies but it makes the combat more fun when you can attack enemies faster etc.

Final Fantasy 4 (known as Final Fantasy II in North America on the SNES). From there I went into Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy 6 (known as Final Fantasy III at that time), Secret of Mana, Illusion of Gaia, etc. And here I am now, with too many RPGs.

I've been told it doesn't just because "everyone has played it" or something. :/
But yeah Pokemon Red was my first RPG.

I first got into RPGs when I got my first Nintendo Power subscription. At the time, an annual subscription came with a couple free special guides--one of which was to Final Fantasy, which was about to be released. My brother and I thought that the game just looked incredibly cool, and proceeded to dump a couple hundred hours into that cartridge. (I actually bought a second copy at FuncoLand at some point, because the battery--which was required to remember saved games--died in my first one.)

As for more recent turn-based RPGs (I mostly play on PC--usually Steam--these days):

I'm a huge fan of the Bioware games, particularly Knights of the Old Republic and the first Dragon Age. (Yes, they aren't "technically" turn-based, but given that you are expected to pause the game and issue commands every time your units move, it's basically the same thing.) I haven't gotten around to playing the latest Dragon Age yet, but I'm looking forward to it.

I liked Agarest: Generations of War a lot, although it could have been so much better. Still, from the story, characters, setting, and game mechanics were all above average. Looking forward to playing the sequel.

Combat is more tactical than a traditional RPG, but I loved Valkyria Chronicles. The characters and story were top-notch, and the combat system was very unique.
