Orson Welles could direct better nightmares than David Lynch could:

(And Neil Jordan could beat both of them on a good day, if he tried.)

I've had it twice so far. Apparently only 1 in 3 people get it, and those that do will continue to do so (but very rarely). So I guess we have that to look forward to...

the time it happened to me , it lasted about 1 minute, i saw a friend who was a large part of my life that i recently had a fight with, at the edge of my bed, my tv was still at the time which made every thing seem still other than his hair moving, the fear you feel in that state of paralysis is insane, when i finally began to move i started screaming because i thought something was touching me,what a horrible experience

For me it's just waking up but not being able to move, at all. It feels like you have zero energy, I cold barely open my eyes but it felt there was a very real presence in the room behind me, and everything was so loud, like whatever it was, was getting closer as everything became more loud / intense.

I had that 4 times. best thing to do is stay calm, and think it is just a dream.

Yeah kinda hard to stay calm when what I described above happens and you can't move lol.

Also what the hell, some of you have really in-depth dreams lmao. My dreams make no sense. Like my last dream was it was the end of the world or something, we all ran up the street to this persons house which was like a mansion and a lot of other people had been in there, and in the living room there was a big wide glass window you could see out into the distance, with the city stretching as far as the horizon, then this huge asteroid hit right there and then, with all of us watching, and you could see the shock wave coming closer as the earth itself rose into the sky, we all bailed down this tube/slide thing that took us to safety underground and at the bottom...was a bouncy castle and we all started playing. Then I woke up lol...

How is there anything logical about that dream?

I might be a bit long-winded in my description but that's just how I type. Please explain why it seems like a logical dream or how logic is involved in any way. I don't really understand the point that's trying to be made. I'm just sharing a dream. Well, another one....

I was hanging out with a group of close friends on the porch of a run-down house when a strange, large man approached us from the road. For some reason, it was impossible to see his face. He did not respond when called and didn't seem to do anything except to shuffle closer and closer with his zombie-walk. As he got closer, my group got more and more uneasy. He seemed like he would be a threat.

One of the guys I was hanging out with confronted him. Instead of saying anything or turning back, the man grabbed his throat and lifted him into the air, choking him. The rest of us got up and ran toward the man to save our guy. There was plenty of strange debris in the yard, like broken swing sets and a section of fallen fence. We grabbed things and bashed the man until he was on the ground. Our choked friend was okay but the man was bleeding a lot and lying on the ground.

Before we knew it, the man was back on his feet again and his wounds seemed to be healing. He tried to grab one of us so we struck him again. The more we injured him, the faster he regenerated, the faster he became, and the larger he grew. Before, he was perhaps half a head taller than me. Now he was probably over a foot taller than me. We all got scared and ran. The group scattered when we dashed into the neighborhood and toward the busier part of the city.

The strange man went after me. Whenever I looked over my shoulder, he was there, striding toward me, so I kept running. But whenever I made a new turn down some alley or another road, he was in FRONT of me, like some impossibly fast horror movie teleporting monster.

I don't remember much of the rest of this particular dream but the feeling of being chased by this undying thing was pretty unpleasant.

true it is hard to stay calm... I try to do other things that help me stay calm like pray for a barrier of light surrounding me like FORCE FIELD I call on God and arch angel Gabriel, Mary, Jesus, Mary's husband... I am blanking on his name. Basically the whole crew. but that's just me. What ever helps to make you stay calm. I once I had a really bad experience with sleep paralysis, involving a women, it scared me so much I nearly had a heart attack. so now I do whatever I can to keep calm... also ever since then I cover my right ear when I sleep

does covering your ear have something to do with your sleep paralysis experience

sounds more like a dream

the other one might have started off as a dream but it continued on as if you were just weaving it yourself.

yes. the lady was on my right side. I could mainly hear her through that ear. I think I have better hearing through that ear as well.
