Two Senior Girls Are Charged with Felony because of a Prank
Posted 5/27/15
well these two girls are now faced with 2 years in jail now, because of a senior prank involving alarm clock.

honestly they should of use digital ones but whatever

Shannon Farrell and La'Kia Hill, both 18, face a felony hoax charge for plating a 'false bomb' at their high school
Farrell and Hill only meant to put alarm clocks in an unused locker as part of their senior prank
A senior student said that they considered bringing their pets to school as a prank but chose not to because 'they didn't want to get in trouble'

So Thoughts?

Jail is a bit harsh I think. Perhaps a fine would be a better punishment. It was a stupid thing they did, and must have been terrifying for the people who thought it was a bomb. But they didn't actually mean for it to be taken that way I'm guessing.

How the hell does an alarm clock sound like a bomb? I hope the charges don't go through, the prank was stupid but I don't feel good about 2 people going to jail because of something like this.

My seniors brought in roosters and let them ran loose in the hallways... maybe the animals were the best choice

My senior class didn't do a prank. We were a little gun shy after the previous 2 classes committed vandalism.

Give them some probation and let them pay a nice fine. Hopefully they learn to think about all the scenarios that could have happen. Really a clock what else were they expecting people to think of?

I agree that is a harsh punishment given that intent was harmless and was meant to be a simple joke on the school.

Just make them do a ridiculous amount of community service instead of wasting my tax dollars.

Yeah....no. There are some pranks you should not pull. And false bomb pranks are one of them. Don't plant fake bombs at school. And don't go into the airport yelling about fire and bombs.

Reminds me of the anthrax prank that someone got arrested for several years ago. He put flour in an envelope and lightly dusted the outside of it with flour, too. "You have been infected" was written on a piece of paper inside the envelope. He put it on a coworker's desk.
