I believe that if you have to go through hard times sooner than later life will be easier later :)

If I had been born into a rich family and have had to live as you said then I probably wouldn't've achieved enlightenment and therefor would've probably been less happy than I am now.

No, I wouldn't. I'd hate to have lots of fake people around me; being fake is one of the things I hate the most. Also I wouldn't have met all of my friends that I have now. They're really annoying sometimes, but in the end I know they've all got my back. I wonder if people who are rich can confidently say that too and actually believe that.

No way, I'd much rather be a common folk kinda girl thanks!

Just because you've been secluded from common people you're able to look down on then and yet, you do whatever you want. Sounds like a plan, i''m down. ..

What if i did come from a very rich family and the money has never been my money.

Let's dissect the dilemma rationally, and see what we can make of it. One can choose to be socioeconomically well off, but bankrupt in terms of compassion, friendship, and respect. One can also choose to be well-respected, compassionate, and in possession of true friendship, but nevertheless struggle financially. These are our starting points.

One is left to wonder, however, what the experience of discovering that one's friends are shallow, one's good reputation is entirely imaginary, and that one is considered callous and selfish would do to a person's outlook and behaviour. I would think that this discovery would bring me to change my way of making friends, my behaviour toward the less fortunate, and my outlook on both myself and others. In that case, I still get to be wealthy and I get a chance to improve my friendships, compassion, and reputation. I have a chance to have it all.

On the flip side, if I am impoverished but in possession of a good personality, friends, and reputation, the discovery that I've been impoverished all along does nothing to improve my socioeconomic conditions. I'll be content in the knowledge that I've never been a fool, but I'll still struggle all my days.

The winning option appears to me to be a rich heel who eventually discovers they're such and performs a heel face turn. A painful and difficult experience, but also far more transient and relatively easier to resolve than the experience of poverty.
