lol, I can't even take your comment seriusly... Ever taken a look at this website https://www.petakillsanimals.com/?

The problem whit PETA is that they don't care about animal rights, if you take 10 min to research them then you'll learn why ALL other animal rights groups are better

I know that. You misinterpreted what I wrote.
I'm saying, they're not taken seriously & never will be.

Um, so I just found this article http://time.com/3891987/sheep-swear-swearing-bad-language-australia-cursing/

Activists say that sheep don't like being verbally abused

A complaint by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) over the abuse of animals at a remote Australian sheep station has prompted a debate over whether sheep can be cursed at.

Opinions, feelings?

I personally think PETA should just stop, they don't help animals by this (not that they do at all).

Let's get down to why you really hate PETA: you're just mad they called Sweden out for burning bunnies to generate electricity in the countryside. Who cares if they're an invasive species which poses a danger to the local environment, who cares if you're getting good use out of them by burning them for fuel or eating them (I'm sure not every bunny made it to the burner), and who cares if pet owners' irresponsibility has created a problem which cannot be solved by their simply being more responsible at this point?

BUNNIES ARE CUTE, THEREFORE THIS IS E------------VIL!

Nothing likes being verbally abuse, but we do it every day.
So before you stumble over that rock, and cuss it out, remember, it has feelings too!
People Eating Tasty Animals is just mislead and lacking purpose.

http://www.peta.org.au/news-release/peta-what-the-f-is-this-about-swearing-at-sheep/

[W]itness 2 saw this [X] worker … punch a sheep in the head, bouncing his or her skull off the hard wooden floor at the [X] shearing shed. Witness 2 then saw [X] hold the sheep’s head in his left hand as he punched the animal in the head, three more times, bloodying his knuckles and the sheep’s head. Witness 2 heard [X] repeatedly yell, “F**k” and then saw [X] stomp on the sheep’s head, twice, audibly bouncing the animal’s head off the hard wooden floor. After again yelling, “F**k,” [X] punched the sheep in the head a fifth time – again bouncing the animal’s head off the floor – and kicked the sheep in the torso. Witness 2 saw that the sheep bled from the head following the sustained beating and that the blood pooled on the floor.

“If foul language were the worst that sheep in Australian shearing sheds had to endure, then no complaint would have been filed”
, says PETA Australia Director of Campaigns Jason Baker. “This is simply another example of the industry trying to distract from the very real issue of sheep being abused by shearers.”

Again, media twisting the true nature of the complaint, it's not surprising that people try to demonize PETA.

I have more compassion for animals than for humans, they can't defend themselves (from humans). Humans have the ability to defend themselves if they choose.

Thank you for the context, but really: I think depiction of animals as intrinsically helpless is inaccurate. A bull could easily gore you to death, a goat could take you down with a single good headbutt, dogs can rip peoples' throats out and are thus useful as guard animals, and so on. They're not nearly as helpless as all that. Nevertheless, there's no call for punching sheep in the head that I can think of as being legitimate.

I may oppose animal rights, but I don't oppose animal welfare. Punching an animal in the head for no good reason is a clear violation of that animal's welfare. Assuming PETA's claims are true this would be transparently unethical.

Edit: Incidentally, nice cosplay.

There's no reason to believe their claims is false though... they may be radical, but I don't think they're illogical... trying to ban swearing to animals is just plain stupid... since you can't even enforce it... nobody's going to guard farmers or shearers at 6am in the morning for their bad language.

People on the internet make up BS like saying PETA is against Pokemon, and then others believe in that BS if it's convenient for their belief.

THanks lol.

I'm a animal rights supporter and can therefore say that PETA is the worst and if you truly are a animal rights supporter then you should keep yourself AWWWAY from PETA and go to other animal rights groups since they al least do something to help and not just spread lies.

Did you even know that PETA kills most of the animals it shelters for their videos and photos?

Isn't this whole thread technically a lie... since they never attempted to ban swearing to sheep in the first place...

I feel bad for you, I truly do

Well then, change to a better and serious animal rights group since PETA isn't really doing much to help and their track record has proven this... For instance they spend time to hire developers to make parody pokemon games, that's both money and time they could've spent on helping animals...

Nope since they tried to do it, they might have tried to cover up their tracks... But they're still out there... All I'm saying is that PETA as a whole has done some pretty fucked up stuff and therefore this really isn't something surprising
