I'm going to become Japanese x2? lmao.
Anyways, if I was Caucasian or african american, or just aboriginal, I wouldn't really want to change my identity into another race just because they have a "cool" pop culture. I rather stay with what I have and am.

Naw, I'll accept for who I am. Sometime I joke about how Fate deny me as a Asian! :p

Only time I wish I was Asian (Chinese) when my ex-girlfriend broke up with me because I'm white and she Chinese.. She told me she have to do what her family say the old traditional marriage...keep the Bloodline pure.. meaning Chinese female and Chinese Male full blooded not half. :/

I kinda have the problem rn. My boyfriend is Korean. He told me his parents also seem strict about who he marries. AND who he dates. (so im kinda a secret to them rn since im not asian). His parents want him to marry another Asian at least. Not sure why that is, because they don't care about keeping a pure family bloodline. I kinda find it weird that Asian families in America still expected their children to marry another Asian, specifically one of their race.

So truuuue. My sister is married to a Korean guy, my brother is in a relationship with a Vietnamese girl, and I might end up with someone Asian.

No, I'm me and always be me. I would love to visit Japan for a year, but home is home. I have too many fond memories and people I love to give it all up. I wouldn't trade to be famous or money to give up who I am. I wouldn't even want to look Japanese either. Japanese people are awesome and everything, but I'm not obsess. This reminds me of that Brazilian guy that went through so many surgeries to look like a Korean. That's his life and want he wanted to be happy, but I'm all good in my skin.

I would think they stop doing this by forcing their daughter to marry their best friend's son once they reach the certain age to get marry. :/

I read lot of sad stories about how Asian Female wasn't happy with the Marriage set up, so they run away from home and join this Asian Gang, this happen lot back in 1980's (In America). There stories about all female Asian Gang. This one lady who was 16 year old and her parent setup for her to marry this kid who is only 5 year old! I mean not at that time, but when the time come for them to get marry after he reach adulthood and are ready.

I don't think that fair, it should be up to her, and they should be care for her/his happiness.

So they don't care what Asian (Country) they're from as long they're full blood Asian? Like one is Chinese and other is Japanese? I would think they meant same country like Chinese and Chinese.

Hope your and his love bond are strong enough to make his parent realized.. They may think its a moment things.. so if you two been dating for long time, that should prove that you both truely care for each other.

personally don't understand this question... i didn't have to give up my identity to become Australian... why would i need to give it up if i want to become japanese?

anyway, regardless of what the question is actually asking, my answer is No. I've heard of people who becomes jewish because that's a requirement for their partner... and i think to myself... i would never do that. would never convert to any religion since i would never believe in one. and it's deception to pretend.

Hell no. Although I enjoy the culture I also enjoy my own heritage and culture as a black american male. Although it may not be the safest identity to have at times I wouldn't trade it for the world.

If someone had asked me if I'd make the trade when I was in high school, I might have. But now, there's no way I'd be happy living in a country that's so shockingly behind on gender equality.

I love so, so many things about Japan and Japanese people, but there's no way I'd be happy living there long term. I like having a good salary, career advancement prospects, and feeling on equal footing in romantic relationships. My experience with dating Japanese guys so far has shown me that I probably wouldn't be happy living there. The level of submissiveness and attentiveness expected of me was crazy, and made me unhappy.

Nope. I'm already Asian. Being different Asian than what I'm already wouldn't change. I just relearn Japanese (and actually remember the language) and have most of the benefits I want as long as I visit Japan.

Nah, it's a rather vague question anyway. Would I get a new identity? What are the benefits? Is it random? Am I reborn as a Japanese person, with new parents and a new life?

Rather not work myself to death. Freedom and creativity is how I roll.
