Plot Summary

Ajin are humans that cannot die. Seventeen years ago, they first appeared on a battlefield in Africa. From then on, more of their kind are discovered within the human society. Their rarity in appearance means that, for experimental purposes, the government will generously reward anyone who captures one. In the present day, for what a certain high school student expects to be a typical summer holiday, his life is about to turn unexpected...

Ajin is getting an anime adaptation according to the latest issue of the Good Afternoon magazine.

Neat

Probably will never see it due to it being in film format, but neat nonetheless.

Literally, this is the best situation for the series. No censorship to worry about and they can go gore galore. By the time the third movie comes out the manga should already be finished. The series isn't exactly lengthy, I believe it could end probably in the next 20 chapters.

But ya, being in movie format is a good call. There's some really disturbing scenes in this one.....

Seems like they're going CGI with this one, but I don't think that's a bad thing. I thought it looked good, Rakuen Tsuihou: Expelled from Paradise looked great and I bet this will too.

How is this? I read the first chapter awhile back when it first started, but it never grabbed me. does it get better later on or something?

It depends. The story has some plot holes but it builds up eventfully and there's a decent amount of characterization. There's about 30+ chapters out so far and 6 volumes so they can adapt 1 movie every 2 volumes.

Like Loomy said, this is actually a better route to go than TV since it will have limited censorship and capture the thrill of the series like it should.

Edit: minor spelling error.

I think it's pretty good. It has some issues, but I like it for the most part.

The main character I wouldn't say is annoying, but is like Shinji from Eva except, get rid of the wimpiness and input a more degrading and harsh view on life. It's an interesting dynamic.

But ya, the action is pretty damn awesome to say the least.
