So over the past few months, there's been a lot of presidential announcements from both sides of the political spectrum.

So I'm kind of wondering which candidate would you support in the 2016 presidential election. Please let me know who's got your vote (and why) by replying to this thread.

Thread guidelines:

-Keep the conversation clean and polite (no foul language, threats...)

-Respect each other's choices (no mudslinging, slandering...)

-Any candidate will do as long as he/she's already in the race OR eyeing the presidency.

-Be serious about what you say and don't fool around.

Honestly, I like Bernie Sanders but his intentions seem too good to be true.

Most likely it will be Clinton who gets in.

Hillary Clinton look like the most sane. I don't trust this guy, Rand Paul. Ted Cruz he an asshole. Also make me question if he insane or I living in a insane world. The others I don't know who they are.

The clintons are corrupt plutocrats Rand Paul is probably the best serious choice in my opinion.

Same here but he's beyond the definition of a long shot. Not that it matters, my state and district is pretty solid red right now so that's likely the way the EC votes will go as well.

I not saying he a bad choice but some of his views turn me off or come off as unrealistic to me. I did say sane not innocent.

While I applaud his symbolic effort against the Patriot Act the other day he's still far too conservative for my tastes.

Fair enough I am not a huge fan of the GOP due to there strong religious influence but I feel like Rand Paul can rise above it. The democrats are to anti business for me.

Bernie Sanders, he's the opposite of everyday politicians. He actually cares about the people, he's against large money in politics, and he's tough on corporations.

Hillary Clinton is too moderate for me unless she proves that she has moved to the left. Rand Paul and libertarians sound appealing but they're too pro-business and anti-government. Never will I vote for a Republican.

In before the "I don't care politics is too corrupt HAHAHAHA" crowd.

So how bad is the divide between the left wing in Canada? The NDP seems to be shifting to the centre and the Liberals are moving to the left, again. At this rate, Harper and Tories will be voted back into power if the left splits their votes.
