Was sitting around with friends discussing what book or graphic novel would make a good anime

Outsiders- no parents brothers trying to make it in a gang and in life

Breaking away-bike movie with misfits in society

BFG-big friendly giant

Lord of the Flies

Clan of the cave bear by : Jean M. Auel

That was a good book, would make a wonderful anime, but a little above PG-13

No kids would be allowed to watch it, nor could it air on public TV

I can't think of any right now, but any book that's has magical properties or close to it like Ink Heart should be made into an anime. I didn't like the Ink Heart book, but I can picture it better if someone in Japan and make it better with some changes and put into an anime. I think I'll enjoy that. Now, I probably look up novels I read way back when and picture it as an anime. XD I know Howl's Moving Castle was a British novel that a Japanese director (I can't think of his name right now) loved it so much and turned it into an animated movie.

Primarily for the sh*tstorm of a controversy that would surround it, Crossed by Garth Ennis. It would never see the light of any Television Network (without being very heavily censored) as at times it makes Corpse Party Tortured souls look like a light-hearted slice of life.

Edit: (thought of a few nicer suggestions )

Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn trilogy

Neil Asher's Owner series

Orcs: First Blood by Stan Nicholls

I'd love to see an anthology series of the works of H. P. Lovecraft, as long as it was done in the proper style. Most of his stories are the perfect size to fill out an episode. And we wouldn't lose a whole lot with the absence of his narration, because his ideas were far better than his prose.

Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None.

I'd also like to see an anime of A Song for Arbonne by Guy Kay.

Touché. :P

That was a shout-out, though, not an adaptation - albeit a surprisingly entertaining and well-researched one. I mean an anime of his actual short stories, with the same atmosphere as those.

Don't know if this counts since it's a Visual Novel, but I really would like to see an anime adaptation of Katawa Shoujo. That would be a pretty interesting set up for me
