I'm very biased working at a Costa coffee in the UK but the coffee is awful I've been 3 times and every time I've been disappointed in their quality. There are great independents and other chains but there coffee tastes like crap don't bother.

My pop will drop by my house with a Starbucks gift card every once in a while (gets it from work and coworkers) so I do tend to grab chai lattes with soy from there (sometimes pumpkin spice chai). Otherwise I wouldn't have any interest. Most coffee chains (tim horton, second cup, starbucks, etc) are just places to quickly grab an iced coffee or chai latte and get out for me. If i do want to sit down and enjoy the atmosphere I go to the local tea house by my place that's also an used book store. More used book stores should double as a tea/coffee house I think.

Edit: i should add that big book chains do the same thing with having coffee chains in them but it doesn't have the same feel.

I've never understood the appeal of coffee, especially when I can get a needed dose of upper-drugs from a can of Cherry Coke Zero, and get some fizz with it as well.

One of the only times I've ever had Starbucks was when I was on vacation, I was in a breakfast crisis, and it was literally the only thing open in the vicinity.
In a burst of "Hey, get me, I'm trendy!", I got a cold caramel frappucino--Oh, yeah, that's the thing: One of the reasons I don't like coffee is that I grew up drinking hot cocoa when the grownups had coffee, and am used to my hot drinks being sweeter and creamier than brown bitter water. Hot or cold, if my coffee doesn't have chocolate, caramel and whipped cream in it, take it back.

FWIW, it wasn't too bad; I might have another frappucino sometime, and not even do it on vacation.

I personally love Starbucks. I like the ambience and any chance I get to grab a s'mores frappucinno, I take. Of course I have coffee at home, but sometimes I do like to stay there with my iPad and I've been doing that more lately.

I don't really like Starbucks.
I prefer CoffeeBean.
Their coffee is usually sweeter.

If you like paying for overpriced mediocre coffee sure. I've had it a few times. Not impressed. Especially for the price they want.

I like Starbucks, though I don't go there often. They've only started cropping up over here in the past couple years, as opposed to Tim Horton's, which has been here as long as I can remember. Starbucks has better coffee (and serves it at a drinkable temperature that won't cook the inside of your mouth), but Tim's is cheaper and more widespread, so chances are, I'll be heading there whenever I feel like coffee while I'm out.

I only like the peach green tea and the only reason I get it is because my work has one in it so I get an employee discount so it only cost me a buck for a large tea. Actually its a bick for teas and 3 bucks for drip coffee

We serve it in the cafe at my work, but I can never tell if what I'm getting is actually a Starbucks drink or just a Barnes and Noble drink. I usually get the passion tea lemonade because I don't like coffee. But I honestly don't know if they serve that at Starbucks too because I've never stepped foot into one.
