what kind of be you get stung by will determine how it feels, hornets are really annoying because they sting you several times over, dosnt really hurt all that much though

Yea. It's like a quick painful pinch but with needles. The pain didn't last that long since I immediately put ice on it. I was stung by a wasp so there wasn't a stinger stuck in me. But my finger went numb due to the ice.

Yellow jackets have stung me more than a dozen times over the years. While stepping on the hole of one of their ground nests they once stung my ankle on both sides haha. That got a little swollen. Usually if I don't scratch the sites there is little swelling similar to a mosquitoe bite. Been chased through the fields a few times by those.

Bald faced hornets I don't think so though they have chased me lots since i would throw dirt at their nests. Those fly in almost straight lines 100 feet away from their nests.

Don't think bumble bees or honey bees have though. The bumble bees I used to gently pick those up by the wings when I was little. Then release them to fly away. I still try to pet bumble bees while they are on flowers, because its a bad habit.

For me it is like having a really long splinter at the sight of the sting.

not a bee but a wasp, yes....good thing about a bee is that it will only sting you once and then the poor sucker dies because when the stinger comes out the poor internal organs come out with it; a wasp's stinger hurts like heck and it DOES NOT DETACH and it stings multiple times in succession.
Burned like nobody's business and hurt like absolute heck.

Never been stung, and subsequently am not very skittish around wasps. I have virtually no fear of bees; I'd feel bad for one if it stung me. I'd be the one to always get called to get rid of stinging insects at my old workplace - they seem to get significantly less combative when the person dealing with them isn't frightened.

I got stung, because where I used to live, I had a small bee hive right in our front porch area. It stung me in the ear, as soon as I stepped outside of my house. It hurt like having a needle going though your ear, and afterwards when it got really puffy, it felt like my ear was on a hot stove.

That's funny, same thing happened to me Right on the earlobe.

No, but I thought I did yesterday. I got swarmed and went all Bruce Lee blocking them and one of them hit my finger with the stinger but didn't sting me, and it still poked me.

I have been stung a few times by individual bees/wasps. But the reason I have a fear (possibly phobia) of bees/wasps, is because I've been attacked by a hive of yellow jackets on one occasion and a hive of paper wasps on another occasion. Both times the wasps had been agitated by someone messing with or destroying their hive, and I was the one they focused their anger on. It was the same person agitating, too.
