no your experiment won't work. sex is not the only way STDs are transmitted

Incorrect. That will not work. STDs did not usually begin as STDs. See my previous reply to someone else for an example, it details how HIV developed. New STDs will develop, so there is no way to eradicate them. They also will eventually find ways to cure all current STDs given recent results in both nano tech and RNA therapies. I will grant that many are currently incurable and some are likely to remain so for quite a while. Another interesting tidbit, fully 2% of most populations (including human) are immune to their flavor of the Immunodeficiency virus. The sucker can't bind to their immune cells, so it doesn't really do much to them. It is possible for a random handful of humans to be immune or highly resistant to a disease. This actually isn't necessarily a good thing for the rest of us though since in many cases they can still transmit the disease.

STDs are Sexually Transmitted for a reason u know being born with one is just up right simply impossible. Now i heard the story of a baby who was injested with blood infected with HIV and guess what this person took care of himself and drank all of his medication and the chances of them infecting someone or slim to none.

A number of STDs can in fact be transmitted to a child during the birthing process. Some of them that are blood born pathogens can cross the placental barrier as well. This URL links to a site that explains so I don't have to type it all out: https://www.nichd.nih.gov/health/topics/stds/conditioninfo/Pages/infant.aspx

As to HIV meds, they are generally antivirals. Some of these work by interfering with the RNA transcription that allows a virus to hijack cells to reproduce, which can also cause some problems for your own cells too. The side effects of long term antiviral use tend to be kind of nasty. They also do not ensure that HIV won't be transmitted. In the few cases they thought were cured with an antiviral dosing regimen the virus returned within two years. They figured out it went dormant in their marrow temporarily. It is nasty stuff.

Before you kill off every std look at this break through in medical science.

You'd have a better chance eliminating the common cold. Or in other words, none at all.

There's no way you can eliminate every STD, nor should our resources be spent to do so. If you practice safe sex and live in a first world country, you should be fine.

If, lets say, every person who was born this year and onward only had sexual relations with people of the same age or one or two years younger later in life, never with anybody born before this year, would that effectively eradicate every STD known to man? (ruling out sharing needles and such).

Your question and your idea don't exactly match. Your question is about eliminating the viruses and stuff in totality. However your idea is more of an immunity/total population infection. As others have stated STI's can come from other sources and from the mother or father at birth. Not to mention that to affect this you would need to control mating and soem other aspects of daily life, perhaps all of it.

For an actual solution, I would need to consult Hitler. Unfortunately that probably would not work either.

There are plenty of ways to get STDs outside of sex. The list varies by specific disease, with some being pretty short lists, but I can't think of any that are literally ONLY sexually transmitted. Also, they figured out through molecular analysis where HIV came from. They have it narrowed down to an area of a couple square miles in the Congo. It was created by a rare event in a chimp's cells. Basically a chimp attacked and ate a monkey that had the monkey version while the chimp already had the chimp one. Both tried to replicate in the same cell in the chimp. Normally the monkey one can't survive in a chimp. The simultaneous duplication event created a third version that could barely function in a chimp, but just so happened to be very good at humans. A human hunter killed the chimp to eat and was exposed to infected blood. That much is almost certain (very common stuff in that area). They figure after that he screwed somebody, who screwed somebody, who eventually went to a prostitute in Johannesburg from which it spread to the world. Epidemiologists both love and hate the Congo. It creates all kinds of nasty stuff and many of them expect the next super nasty bug to come from there. Didn't several different hemorrhagic fevers, including Ebola, come from there?

TL:DR - New STDs would show up and you can also get most of the old ones a slew of non-sexual ways.

Pretty much this. Previous posts covered most other reasons why this wouldn't work.
