Bruce Jenner was once the world's greatest athlete. He was a superstar in the 1970's, at the Olympics, with his iconic Wheaties box, and became a legend in the sports world. He married into the Kardashian clan in the 2000's and found fame as the doting dad to the world's most hated family.
Now he is a she. Bruce underwent sexual reassignment and has now become Caitlyn Jenner. She revealed herself today for the first time. ![]() As you can imagine, this has been met with mixed emotions. Many people, such as myself, support this fully and have praised her for undergoing the changes. Other people have not felt the same. It's a touchy subject, but there are people who are born the wrong gender, and who feel the need to change. Do you support this? What are your thoughts on this? |

I support her decision, and will support her decision when she has the genital transition surgery, if and when that happens. Why wouldn't we support someone who wants to be their authentic selves as long as it doesn't hurt others. Her family is trying to adjust and as Bruce he waited a long time to be able to do this...after his children were grownups and now feels the time is right to be his true self. Good luck to everyone involved, may there be love and acceptance.

Everyone should be allowed to be themselves. If you are forced to live your life as someone else, then that will only lead to misery and unhappiness. I completely support gender reassignment surgery. It's what they feel they need to do to live, and they're not hurting anyone by doing it.

I support the legalization of marijuana so the government can regulate it, but don't like drugs or marijuana in general, at all. That said, people here in the US are more supportive of the legalization of marijuana than ever. |

I can't imagine what it's like to feel like you were born the word sex, so it's great that she can finally live as she always wanted too.

I fully support it! A friend of mine is in the process of undergoing the same thing. One day he was Brian, always dressed in shorts and sandals, and the next day Brian's name was Brandi. She went from shorts to dresses and from sandals to high heels. It was difficult at first to not go "Hey Bria-- I mean Brandi." She's undergoing hormone treatment at the moment and is saving up for the official surgery. |

From what I've heard, it's incredibly soul crushing. Those who feel as though they're in the wrong skin undergo traumatic depression and so many have killed themselves because they felt as though their gender was wrong. I can't imagine such a horrible feeling, to look at yourself in the mirror and feel as though the person staring back at you is disgusting and isn't you at all. |
