@anzn: Sexism against men certainly does exist outside the internet. Just as racism against white people exists outside the internet. Just because the effects aren't as felt doesn't mean racism and sexism against whites and men doesn't exist. As long as you have a race and you have a biological sex, you can be discriminated against for your race and sex. Sort of like how if you have an arm, you can hurt your arm. Doesn't matter if your arm is stronger or weaker than someone else's arm. A stronger arm that feels less pain and is more difficult to hurt is not an arm that cannot be hurt.

Racism and sexism are simply ideologies centered around race and sex, respectively. That's it, plain and simple.

Now, whether sexism that results in unfortunate consequences for each respective sex creates negative effects of equal severity for both sexes is another question entirely. And the answer to that is probably "no" overall. But people still need to zoom in and examine each facet of life in which these negative effects come into play and try to address them individually.

I thought that was just deleted posts...

Anyway, bigots gonna bigot, haters gonna hate, can't fix stupid, etc.

Also, this is why I don't facebook*. Or twitter. Or mysapce. Hell I only grudgingly have LinkedIn since it's helpful for getting a job.

*I have a facebook account. I haven't posted anything on it in years, haven't even logged into it in longer than I can remember, but I know it's still there. It will always be there. Just to prove I'm not dead.

I'm very much cringing over the stereotyping and pointing at feminism is a fault over a simple block.

If she blocked you then it probably wasn't worth it to keeping that person in your facebook. One should keep people that makes feel pretty happy and/or okay on their newfeed. Not everyone is going to agree with everything you said as you aren't always going to agree with what everyone says. Plus, anger does tend to make people do things they would never do instead of taking things calm and thinking of one's decision. Better to focus on what you believe in rather, even it costed a block, than what pointing "faults at what you don't believe in.

Hey, it's that topic again! I suspect some kind of necromancer to be at work as that zombie just keeps coming back.

Also, just delete her stupid ass from your contacts and move on with your life.

There's no point in even trying to explain to him.
The facts are clearly there, yet he refuses to believe them and just goes on about how men don't have any rights and that feminism is wrong and if there's something bad then feminists are to blame.
He just looks so stupid for showing everyone one person's opinion and somehow blaming that opinion on feminism, lmao.

What an idiot you are. This is NOT the views of feminist. Quite the opposite. You need to grow up and stop posting hate all over the internet. Not everyone in the world is the same as you! GET OVER IT!

And btw, what were you doing looking at her profile anyway? She's obviously not someone you actually know. People who use facebook to spy on strangers are so pathetic.

Your last post to my main post was hilarious, everything I had posted, even with those numbers and facts along with links, you completely ignored that and then you have the audacity to call me the ignorant one. Instead, you agree with someone who's first opening in the post is "Sexism doesn't exist against men" lmao.

Numbers don't lie, you however do. You tell me the facts are there, where? you ain't posted nothing of the sort other than your overly emotional comment. If you reply to me again, with no evidence and throw around over-exaggerated assumptions such as "just goes on about how men don't have any rights" even though I didn't say that, then it shows you're just immature and can't debate, without trying to be the louder person like your opinion matters more, which is also common behaviour of feminists.

I don't even know what you're raging about in your first paragraph so onto the second, I wasn't looking at her profile, even if I was it's facebook, get over it. People look at my profile on here to, omfg people stop oppressing me stop looking at my profile! I wasn't spying on anyway, I was scrolling though the home feed thing and the post was there. Maybe you're just mad I don't love you back.

You seem to have a very narrow-minded and biased view. Your only knowledge of feminism is coming direct from the internet.
And who lies and exaggerates on the internet? Honestly, who would do that?

While some feminists wear the "hipster starter pack" ensemble, that doesn't equate that all feminists are hipster, or all hipsters are feminists.

Not only that, but you do realize the majority of crop-top activists are teen school age girls? Not only are their views narrow, they majorly don't understand the feminist movement. Some use it as a voice for their issues, others use it as a safe place to fit in. Some take it way too damn far, and want to murder everything lacking a vagina. Those are usually the ones you hear about. Because normal, everyday people aren't all that attention grabbing.

I agree that there are a lot of unbalanced male to female ratios in society. And I'm only going to speak about the ones you've pointed out to save time.

The amount of out reach centers for women vastly outnumber those for men. It's true. But don't forget that only in recent years has it become OK for men to even speak about past/current abuse, rape, assaults and even depression. This is not the fault of women. This is the fault of society as a whole. And it needs to change. If it doesn't, men will continue to be homeless, depressed and suicidal with no places to go.

The graphs of male-homicide are unbalanced because female murderers are less often caught and convicted. Not that women don't murder. They do. They are just less likely to get caught. That's not a privilege. One who murders is still a murderer.
Just like female abusers are less likely to be reported. Men who are raped aren't as likely to report it either. These things influence graphs.

It's not a mans fault for losing a custody battle. It has been ingrained into teachings that women are the natural parental unit. This isn't true. This societal outlook on parenting isn't a privilege, either. It's more of a burden. On women, children and the men who love their kids.

Work related deaths are higher for men, since they're physically inclined for labour oriented jobs. These also happen to be dangerous jobs. If a woman can lift as much as a man, and she wants to work this job, no one should stop her.
I on the other hand, cannot lift, carry, move or do the same work. I am a woman, and I am physically unequal to a man. I acknowledge and understand this. I am only 4'10" tall. I am no where near comparable in strength to a 6' tall man.

The argument on equality, is not one about strength, or sex. It's not a competition to see who is the greater of the two. Feminism is about intellectual, ethical and societal equality. That my life as a woman is worth the same as your life as a man. That also means that I must value men, as well.

Also, have a quote from a feminist/gendercide documentary titled: "It's a Girl!"
I feel it rings true to many of the problems in the world both sexes face today.

People always like to fight over what people do to their body or anything sexual.
In short.

My advice is avoid all these conversation as much as you can online. Most of the feminism I really see seems more like a joke or satire.
Or just downright mean.

I agree with most of this. Sadly it never seems to pan out this way. One extreme against the other is much more common and that is what people see and experience.

Edit; This was a reply to wonka but for some reason it didn't show that way.

You're right, most times it ends in argument. Most times the topic of feminism is brought up from an offensive point. Naturally, people become defensive and lash out... It's instinct.
As evident in this thread.

No one wants to take the blame for what is wrong with the world. We all just want to point fingers.
But feminism and feminists are not a threat.

Unquestionably, you cannot say one persons life is worth more than another. No matter the gender, race, sexuality, etc. A life is a life. Yet due to societal pressures, the thought of outright and complete equality scares people.

Yeah I do agree with your post, a lot of it is due to the way society just was for a long time. And it's only now in some areas guys are able to get a voice, but it's instantly shouted down at by these tumblr feminists. You seem like you have common sense and I'm sure there is some good feminists that don't even bother with tumblr etc, they actually just do things and make changes and speak to the right people and go to movements etc.

But at the same time I can't support it because of the amount of idiots you see riding on the same name. The word has just lost it's meaning I think, a lot of people think the same way. Just because of that, people thinking that shows what all these loud idiots with 'ma feels' on tumblr do. They just like be loud and everything is sexist. You said in your post men are generally stronger than females physically, fuck me you have to walk on egg shells these days to say something like that. I guess according to some feminist we shouldn't even be different genders and have no differences between us what so ever, "omg why don't I have boobs, all these nice boobs I see are oppressing me!".

I could explain more in-depth and stuff but in short, I think this new generation is just a bunch of wimps and everything we dealt with / learned about growing up, they're all taught to cry and voice there opinions expecting the world to change / cater to them.
