Anime isn't a teen phase lol, deathcore is though...maybe listening to that music has killed a few brain cells over time?

And don't use 'bills' or 'life' as an excuse, lot of us here have our own place, work, studying, doing the same stuff as you. Go watch My Love Story then, it's airing right now. It's really funny.

are you serious right now?

Just watch what you want. If anime bores you then don't watch it, simply as that. It's not needed that you force youself to like something and, in fact, you will likely hate it even more if you try to do it.

I'm sensing some real, real, SEVERE--like medical--attention-deficit issues you might want to talk to someone about.
And no, that's not a manly Internet-sparring insult, that's a recommendation.

(Although It's one of the big red-flag symptoms that almost anything will turn into an insult match to work out frustrations if the conversation goes beyond three posts.
The lower case typing would be another.)

Clearly, it is not my grammar and punctuation. I answered (what appeared to be) your question to the best of my ability. My answer was laconic, lucid, cogent.

Was the sentence structure too difficult for you? I can simplify it for you.

Here:

anime that why i made insult you you really didnt understand huh

I will out of my way and believe you are intoxicated for medical reason.

Maybe instead of watching anime as a past-time you should watch it for other people. Make a hobby out of it, review it. Reviewing shows gets you lots of things out of it, quite frankly my favorite is butt-hurt 12 year olds getting angry because I tell them Attack on Titan is trash, you also get to voice your opinion in a manner in which is entertaining, at least I find reviewing entertaining.

You say you're bored of generic plot-lines and how childish anime is, which is true, anime tends to be extremely childish, even if you think of something like Higurashi, the plot-line is so simply and idiotic, yet it's bloody (which people think makes it for a mature audience), but in fact it's childish and stupid. Anime will always be childish and stupid, for the most part, though in your mind you can make it mature. Watch the show to see it's artwork, it's production value. Not it's stupid cliches and simplistic style.

If you don't want to do the rest then simply don't watch it, people grow out of things, whether it be watching cartoons or playing a video game, if you really did like something to begin with you'll end up coming back to enjoy it, for whatever reason that may be.

PS: I'd also like to apologize for not being 21 and posting, since you requested for someone of that age, I just wanted to get my opinion out and I hope you can not disregard what I am saying because of this, have a good day.

I'll play along.

Sounds like a personal thread, so I've moved this over to Advice, Info, Recommendations.

If you are so bored with anime and tv, and would rather do other things that are more fulfilling, there's really no reason for you to get back into them. I'm certainly not going to spend my time trying to convince you; I'd rather spend it watching anime.

Sounds like it all comes down to the anime you were watching, they either weren't story driven anime or the story telling/characters weren't executed well.

There two anime that stand out above all else as far a character development goes, but I'll just list the shorter one, as the other is almost 200 episodes long, and I don't think you would be ready to watch something that long:

Kingdom(this also has one of the most griping stories in anime history, it literally grabs you by the neck, and yanks you along, for one amazing ride lol)

Overview/review: http://www.anime-forums.com/showthread.php/157090-Kingdom-(complete-series)

other anime with awesome stories, and very good characters:

The Legend of Condor Hero(the first season is even dubbed. However finding the other 2 seasons, is a pain in the but, but if you really want, the 1st season stands on its own quite well, so you could get away with just watching that)

Overview/review(of the entire series): http://www.anime-forums.com/showthread.php/158393-The-Legend-of-Condor-Hero-review

Kemono no souja erin(this is a great slice of life/drama series, with a lot of profound, and emotionally powerful scenes it it) Note: This is on CR

Overview/review: http://www.anime-forums.com/showthread.php/140783-Kemono-no-Souja-Erin

Hanasakeru Seishounen(The characters are quite colorful/interesting in this, and despite the bad setting choice, the story is exceedingly well told, so much so, it makes this one of the most perfectly put together anime ever made) Note: this is on CR

Overview/review: http://www.anime-forums.com/showthread.php/160507-Hanasakeru-Seishounen-review

Letter Bee(I haven't gotten around to writing a review for this yet, since I just finished this anime the 1st time, but omg is this anime awesome, and has a lot going for it. The story telling is simul to Kingdom, as it follows the career life of the main char from the very beginning, but the similarities stop there, as this is a fantasy setting, opposed to a historical setting. There's quite a lot of world building in this, but unlike Kemono no souja erin, It's told through the characters, as the story is being told, so it has a pretty fast start, no wait to get into the main story at all. This anime has a very innovative way of showing flashbacks, without interrupting the ongoing story too, which is a very amazing way to handle such, so there's quite a lot of story told efficiently, in such a short time, ect) Note: This is on CR

For the time being, I would suggest you watch these(I have more awesome anime options, but they are slower paced, so I would suggest you watch these first).

Also note, all of these are completed anime too(except for Kingdom, which is still believed to be ongoing, hopefully they're working on a 3rd season right now, but anime studios never keep people properly informed, so who knows), so sno unfinished anime, to leave you unsatisfied :)

For TV: TV is sort of a lost cause these days, the last really good live action series that was on TV, is a series call Leverage. Atleast in the US anyway, so you should go, and check that awesome series out.

Other then that, I would say look into wuxia series(they're based in China, and even though they tend to be pretty long+sub only, they are really addictive to watch, once you start watching a wuxia series, you're driven to keep watching, until you finish it. To give you an idea, The Legend of Condor Hero anime I listed, is a anime adaptation of the live action wuxia series called "Return of the Condor Heroes", which inturn is a adaptation of a wuxia novel of the same name, so in short, if you like that anime, you'll surely love the wuxia genre in general then).

I take it you haven't seen that South Park episode.

It's a two-parter where everything (literally) starts to look like shit to Stan. He doesn't enjoy the same music he enjoyed before, he doesn't like video games, he doesn't like anything.

I feel Ya man! I had the same problem not to long ago, but it got solved. I suggest you should try something different for example try watching different genre of anime compared to wt you watch usually. Try collecting something like manga or coins etc. that helped me! If you used to play online games, try playing non online vice versa.

Good luck
