I've only ever seen one band live and that's Dance Gavin Dance.

I almost got to see While She Sleeps but they sold out on the same day I got my pay.

I really want to see Rammstein live but they're not at Download this year.

There's plenty more - various festivals I've been to (like the Tibetan Freedom Festival, Mayhem, etc). I tend to go around 10-15 different concerts a year, at least.

So from first to most recent:

Morbid Angel: 2013 in Baltimore. Got to the front and was hardly five feet away from Trey Azagthoth. Pretty awesome.

Summer Slaughter 2014, a whole bunch of bands
-Fallujah (good)
-Within the Ruins (awful deathcore)
-Decrepit Birth (meh)
-Origin (awesome, personal highlight)
-Goatwhore (strong)
-Thy Art is Murder (awful deathcore)
-The Faceless (sat out, shit band)
-Dying Fetus (awesome)

Messe des Morts in Montreal 2016:
Day 1:
-Outre-Tombe (awesome, the first time an opening act was so impressive that I immediately bought their CD)
-Phobocosm (strong)
-Zhrine (strong)
-Ulcerate (good, but I was out of energy at that point and called it a night about halfway through)

Day 2:
-Moonreich (decent)
-Monarque (amazing, one of the biggest highlights that night)
-Blaze of Perdition (poor, and also had technical difficulties that unnecessarily prolonged their set)
-Morrigan (meh, only a two person act which normally isn't that immersive live)
-Cult of Fire (decent, I wasn't too into this band at the time. If I see them again, I'll probably be more into it.)
-Mgla (amazing, the other big highlight of that night)

Goatwhore and Crowbar: 2016 in Morgantown, WV. Goatwhore left a much stronger impression this time around. Band puts on a strong live set. Crowbar were pretty massive as well.

My most recent is seeing Amorphis in Pittsburgh this year. Surprisingly their first gig in the U.S. in eight years, they did a pretty strong show. Just recently found out that their bass player left due to disagreements with the manager though just as the tour came to a close.

Streetlight Manifesto
Chicago

Both in 2011. I'm not really a concertgoer. But if I could only see two bands, these are two I can die happily having seen.

Given what I've read so far, more people have seen the bands I would much rather see.
As of recently, I've had the opportunity to go to concerts more. This isn't equated with how many bands I actually know, prefer and listen to.

Highlighted in Orange are the ones I'm particularly proud of.

As of 2016:
Sum 41
New Found Glory
Yellowcard

Motionless in White
MC Chris
Reel Big Fish
Less than Jake
Chelsea Grin

When I was younger (teens), I saw:
ABBA
Simple Plan
Collective Soul
Kid Rock
