Bartender, just finished my BA, working on finding that 9-5. As much as I want to start my career, I sure am going to miss all the free time I have to game/watch crunchyroll!

And I'll soon be transitioning to 3rd shift. (The night shift.)

I am in the same boat but I'm hoping that with a 9-5 I'll have more time. No more 13 hour shifts and working on holidays. Also I' look forward to wearing grown up clothes to work.. At least for you the hard part is over!

Off topic but isn't it normally the other way around? Most guys I know either start 3rd shift until they're there longer or they have a certain shift for a few months then rotate. Either way, that sucks man. Even as someone who enjoys sleep during the day as much as night time I'd probably hate that.

I was lucky enough to start off at 1st shift, which I had a love/hate relationship with. I hated getting up early but I loved having the rest of the day to myself. (I started at 5:00 am and got off at 3:00 pm (Or 5 depending on how heavy the work is.)

But since the night shift has apparently been getting a influx of scheduled appointments, they need an extra clerk on hand.

To be honest I still don't know how the shift rotation works here. (Heck, I don't think there is a rotation at all. Some of the vets have been at the same position/shift for nearly thirteen years...) I think guys just go where they are needed. They've even pulled a Janitor to the side when they needed help getting a truck unloaded.

I'm a professor of computer science and software development at both a technical college and a local, private 4-year college. I also work as a part-time bartender at a small, local bar.

English teacher.

I also work part-time at a card shop and a convenience store. I do babysitting and dogsitting for some people also. Heh.. Still have way too much time to do nothing, though. I can never understand how that works.
