Money and Technology. If a super EMP killed every piece of tech on the planet (even EMP shielded stuff) Everything would enter chaos and people in the trades or people who work well without the tech will be the new rulers and money will become the ruler.

Yes.
The world isn't going to take a step backwards on technology. Only improving or inventing.. so..

Bukowski... is that you?

No. I have less hair ,don't drink or smoke, can't run from crowds or anything else, never wanted to be acknowledged enough to even record monotony, and copped out to the man and the system years ago. Anonymity absolves and condones my moral flaws.

Sadly that and money. It's sad that it's obvious. I hate that it does ontop of it. I actually like doing things without it, I hate phones as well.

Technology has taken us over. We can't fight it, because it's already integrated to become a part of who we are. This is especially evident in technologically advanced cities such as Tokyo, where in subway carriages you'll have 9 in 10 people fiddling with their smartphones with no concern for their surroundings.

SNSs have made us paranoid about our identities. Digital sound has made us extrasensitive to silence. Some people struggle to keep up at all and get left behind. Ignoring all these blatant sociological and psychological side effects, we're running at full speed towards the endpoint with no break. By the time we reach the goal, we're going to be a social trainwreck.

Not saying that it's a bad thing, though.

I think it's very relevant to this generation and timeline. I would say it does, however, there are places in the world that do not have access to this technology.

Depends on your definition of technology, even something as simple as a hammer or a doorknob is considered technology. In any case, yes it does, the world we humans have created for ourselves revolves completely around technology. From a tribesman hunting game with a bow & arrow in the Amazon jungle to us commenting on this very forum with our electronic devices. We all use technology in one form or another, been that way since the dawn of mankind.
