Sorry but I don't take any opinion seriously if the person has no experience dealing in said subject matter.

The ban has been lifted. So now that you've been rehabilitated, is this post an act of contrition or defiance? It's been my experience that people that have all the answers about raising children have more over generalized colloquial preconceptions than answers.Treating and defining all children as an amoral, (whatever that means),generality is absurd .

Oh, it's defiance--The career troll thinks "Hey, I fooled 'em once, I can fool others again!"
Ie., that even if the old guard who already know his act can out him in a second, there's plenty of new blood on the group who doesn't know yet, and will leap at the first controversial thread like a bigmouth bass!
Like the standup comic he thinks he is, he believes there's always the next gig.

(And given that Sil was troll-busted back on the first page, and we're now on the fourth....)

How else could it happen though. If you wanna argue, give me an example of how kids could be different.

Like if a child has never been taught to do good and care for others... is it still possible for that child to experiance empathy?

lol, what has this child been taught instead? empathy, for one thing, is not that important.

as for #4... empathy is something that can't be learned. you clearly watch too many movies/haven't experienced a larger social circle than what you have because from my experience, low income kids are the ones that are obnoxious and rude

If empathy isn't taught, then where does it come from?

And I agree low income kids are obnoxious and rude, but spoiled kids are the most heartless.

it's mostly innate

I guess it is. Morality isn't innate however. And even if it is, when kids are given a situation where the most beneficial choice is the one that's unempathetic, than empathy no longer means anything.

Imagine if schools didn't have any rules... kids would be beating the hell out of each other constantly to get what they want. Kids are sort of like animals. They have the belief of survival of the fittest ingrained within them.

Even if they have empathy naturally, unless they're conditioned to have morality, then they're going to think the ends always justifies the means

wow you... you are something

Yup, I'd go with defiance all the way. There is an image to maintain, and attention to be had.The games afoot, and squarely in the mouth.

Mind explaining what the hell your talking about?

I think all of you are taking me just a little too seriously. Like your making conspiracy theories about me. But hey, it's nice knowing I'm so cool people would actually take the time to think that deeply about me.

Children aren't all amoral because they're taught not to be by parents if they have good ones.
Amoral means "without morality". that should be simple by combining the prefix and root word.

My point is that if children weren't conditioned to have morality, they'd all be amoral

A lot of low income kids are the spoiled ones; it's like the parents were to busy to bother with them and just decided to give them what they want to shut them up, or think giving their kids this or that will make them look less like low-income families.
Kids in mid-income or rich-ish families vary. Some are very spoiled because their parents act like the aforementioned low income ones, some are brats because they somehow get away with thinking their parents' financial success is their own...
And some are fine because they were born into families that are well-off because they are genuinely good, intelligent people who pass on their knowledge to their children properly.
Financial success isn't the only thing that decides how obnoxious kids are though. There are seriously some kids who are just naturally very quiet, or unassuming.

Yyyep, and that's when the troll starts thinking "I'm a celebrity! The group needs me, because I'm so colorful, and keep the topics going!"

(So, uh, Mods, does someone get banned for life on the second instance, or the third?)

Celebrity? It looks like you're the only one who thinks that highly of me

And just what the hell are you even doing here? Remember the last time I went on a topic I wasn't interested in and raised hell? You don't, because I don't.
I think you have a skewed definition of the word "troll"
Last time I checked, people who flame threads with pointless arguments are trolls

You've done your good deed for the day warning others about that rapscallion silversongwriter, so please give it a rest, and don't continue to drag things off topic.

If others are enjoying discussing the topic and folks aren't being hateful or insulting each other, then it doesn't so much matter whether he started the topic just to provoke a response, or because he's genuinely interested in the topic.

Rapscallion... Me?

I must commend you. I love that word. It's an insult but it's also cute. That's an amazing combination. I wish more people would use that in their vocabulary.

So is this what people picture when they think of me?
