I don't see it as a problem. We've always been a country of immigrants. Just think of it as fresh blood.

I belive in a world with no borders. Humans really shouldnt be treated as something ilegal just because they are on US, Canadian, belgium, japanese or swedish ground. We were all born on this planet.

That said, reality is just so damn complex that the system cant handle all this imigration without being fucked up. Especially wellfarecountries. Money isnt unlimited. Not to mention all countries needs to employ this reasoning for it too really work.

Lol please anyone who's a hillbilly afraid of immigrants come to NYC and meet these people. They're the most honest, hard working, and kind people you'll ever meet.

Desperate people sometimes do desperate things, especially when it comes to the survival of their families. Many illegal immigrants have come here due to the safety of their own countries (or lack there of). Right now there are many cases of it taking 6 months to a year (or even more in some cases) to get approval to come here through the visa process and government red tape on both sides of the persons world. The problem is once they get here illegally they can't try to become legal without getting deported and sent back to the very country they're fleeing. I fully agree with many that illegal immigrants should be given a fair chance at becoming citizens here (while of course being checked out thoroughly by homeland).

What's very interesting to me is that I've known Hispanics (had this conversation with them) and they hate illegal immigrants. Once they got into the country and gained their citizenship, they don't want others getting in. I know this isn't true for all Hispanics but I don't see the logic in that.

The whole "America is a melting pot of diversity" is a bullshit excuse to let people in, but we also shouldn't keep those people out. Make a more efficient, swifter process to citizenship. Hell, if they can pay taxes, even better.

I'm a legal immigrant who was fortunate enough to have the means and the skills to come to the US. I have nothing but compassion for those people who come illegally to this country who only want to make a better life for themselves. The birth of the US was taken on the back of a genocidal effort by the Europeans to slaughter the 'savages' of the new world and take their land for it's own so I find it ironic that they persecute those who come peacefully looking for a 'new world'. . The US is not alone though. Every nation has, will or tried to do it.

It's such a shame that we haven't found a way to dissolve borders, abandon religion for the affront to intelligence it is and leap into that Roddenberry future where we end up polluting the universe our over inflated sense of entitlement!

I hope this makes sense.

People getting in isn't the problem, its' the money flowing out. Capital has no patriotism it goes anywhere and with it your jobs. Illegal immigrants are just the smoke blown in your eyes by politicians to distract you from paying attention to the loss of manufacturing.

Accommodating illegal immigrants is a slap in the face to all the people who immigrated here legally and even more so to the people who are currently in the process of immigrating legally. There are a lot of people who want to come here, so why the hell should we prioritize the people who spit on our laws over the people who put in the effort, follow the rules, and wait in line to come here legally? That it is completely unreasonable!

Furthermore, illegal immigrants hurt low-class blue-collar workers who live in the country and have families here. They work for less, so they devalue the blue-collar job market. So if you support illegal immigrants, you stand directly against our poorest citizens who are already here.

I think illegal immigration is a slap in the face to those who came to America legally. We should reinforce and secure our borders.
