Freshman year of High school I was framed by mean girls for being a criminal against women. Because of that I learned,
1.Don't trust others so easily, be careful of whom you trust.
2 Walk with your head down, don't make eye contact with those that you don't to want associate with.
3.Make friends only with like minded people like yourself.
4. Don't expect too much from others, never get what you want anyways.

In the end of High School I turned to yaoi and had my fist gay experience.

I honestly learned not much from high school. Everyone was weird until college, where the most important and dramatic changes seem to happen.

Things set and stabilize after that.

Had some interesting things happen during high school that changed me socially like chasing a girl who didn't like me for like 4 years. It was pretty bad. Least i couldn't care anymore. I want those 4 years back :/

I learned that I was much too cool for the lot I went to high school with and spent my lunches in the library reading Amelia Atwater Rhodes and playing Runescape.

Most people were nice in high school, but I know a lot of people weren't so lucky.

Every white person is racist.

Women are always right.

Every Christian is homophobic.

Drake Bell is transphobic.

^^^^^

New political correct culture right there.

The more social and pretty or hot you are, the more popular.

I learned to act relaxed, cautious and watch what I say and not do anything embarrassing.

I honestly just cut myself off from the social life in general. I'm a mute actually as of 5 years ago or so. I choose not to speak due to a life event. I can't get angry with people or have a hatred toward anyone because of the way I think so in general, it is like I live in my own little world with no one but people who actually do care at all. Though seeing how people treat other people out here is quite sickening.

(When I say "out here" I mean NA)

Honestly, your answer is really correct. No one treats each other exactly nice even if they did get the class. Yet somehow it's required.

Mainly I learned that I didn't give an inch about what others thought of me.

We've all got the human instincts to want to be attractive to others, liked, cared for, and appreciated; and to also hurt, pick at, and tear down others. Humanity is a great and terrible thing.

I learned that I'm capable of making friends on my own, and that I'm capable of making someone cry so much they never associate with me again. High school was really all about learning myself. And not the kind of individuality where people try too hard to prove they're some kind of unique monstrosity.

I believe once you come to terms with what sort of person you are, then social skills will come naturally as you grow into yourself.

Rule of thumb, though, people don't like it when others mention something about them that they'd rather no one notice.

I'm not sure if I learned any social skills there, I was pretty isolated most of the time. I guess you could say I learned that I have no idea how to build or nurture friendships.
