Meh.

Honestly, your answer is really correct. No one treats each other exactly nice even if they did get the class. Yet somehow it's required.

I mean, people choose whether or not they want to treat you properly. It's just how it is.

The class is also awesome for those who want to know how to be the opposite of a "polite person".

AKA Jackasses.

I'm reclusive; social skills do not exist in my world.

Let's be real here. Your high school social skills will be awkward and embarrassing. It's college where you're truly tested in terms of social skills. You're not put into the same group of people for most classes, and you have to live with a roommate and/or have to share bathrooms with at least one other person. As for your professors, you see them 2-3 times a week. It's up to you to make an impression in that amount of time, especially when you're in a lecture hall of almost 100 students.

The real key is to be yourself, be kind and be passionate. By being passionate about something, you can shine in it and find others that share the same interests as you. Be kind because positive people attract people, and nobody will hate on a good person, but also, don't let people take advantage of that. Be yourself because it will be what sets you apart, and by being true to yourself, you'll be much happier as a person, and people like being around happy people.

If people still don't befriend you, and you're doing all three, then those aren't people you want to socialize with.

I was in my own world last year, very disconnected from everyone else, but nowadays I've actually opened up my ears to both being more social and the rumors passed around. It's very interesting to realize just how much gossip I missed out on when I was so reclusive last year.

While i agree with pretty much everything you've said pertaining to college I disagree with your view on high school. The more active and involved you are the more exposure to social extremes you will receive. The strife, drama, and camaraderie all ushered in a growth that prepared me for college in ways that other social environments couldn't have. Although all the experiences may not be good experiences if one stays positive much can be learned about yourself and the man or woman you want to be, and that will reflect in your social skills.

Tbh, in HS I was bullied a lot
which basically ruined me
even further.

I kind of became distant
in my mind and numb
from everything so I grew
to really dislike people
over time.

That a lot of people are repressing themselves, unknowingly. Also were a society great at scapegoating. Sometimes you just have to play along with people and that might lead to somewhere good or not so good. A lot of people have an inferiority complex or really need to prove themselves to others to feel content with themselves.
