China is like the capital of proxy use it seems, I doubt banning them will do anything at all.

Bummer for the Chinese. After they lifted their long-standing console ban, seemed like things were really looking up for the people in China. Even heard rumors of possible labour unions awhile back. Now this. Oh well, still better than North Korea, eh?

Poor Chinese. That's just cruelty.
They need someone like Obama. He did an speech thanking Japan for its anime and manga.

I kinda wish the Chinese people would rise up and overthrow their Communist Party. Probably not going to happen though, unless they have a total economic collapse.

Didn't they try that a few times in the past and it turned out badly? I'm not a history expert but I'm pretty sure they have tried in the past and failed. Of course they could always try again but that requires lots of people to put their lives on the line so it's not something to even think about doing halfheartedly.

This is par for the course in a government led by a figure who insists that an authoritarian single-party state is absolutely essential to sustaining cultural, economic, and political stability, and who has further consolidated a great deal of power within his own hands even by the CCP's standards. The support of authoritarianism and single-party rule isn't that unusual in Xi Jinping's case; even the more moderate elements in the CCP have that going on. Jinping's just particularly autocratic in addition to being authoritarian.

Marxism-Leninism, folks: it's poisonous.

China is a backwards society when it comes to human rights; they might as well become allies with North Korea again.

Currently it is a backwards society but it's been ruined ever since the whole Genocide situation. They are corrupt and have problems with containing their social status as a country. I can't blame them for believing that these shows can taint their society mainly because the Chinese has a long history with obedience meaning that what they see on the media will influence them greatly.
