I'll be honest I'm an old school anime fan 90s golden age lol
Tastes include cyber punk battle angle akira cyber city ghost in the shell Appleseed venus wars etc fantasy ninja scroll 3x3 eyes the one with 4 dragons which I can never rember switchblade etc mecha patalabour robotech etc sci fi lensmen fan service like high school of dead not a fan of over the top ecchi stuff

And I'll admit I can't watch grave of fireflies without selling up lol

So tell me what's worth the watching

Thanks AK. I've moved this there. (And also given it a more descriptive title.)

I don't watch a ton of action, but I have seen some of the sci-fi offerings on here that are at least worth checking out:

- Gargantia of the Verderous Planet is a very solid mecha/sci fi show.
- StarDriver is a mecha show that at times I loved and at times I hated; but it does have a lot going for it, and has a bit of an old-school sensibility to it.
- Attack on Titan is kind of an odd fantasy/sci-fi hybrid show, with some very good action sequences
- Nanana's Buried Treasure has a lot of clever Indiana Jones-esque moments in an interesting sci-fi setting. Not a perfect show, but again, there is a lot to like here.

Aldnoah.Zero
Argevollen
Asura Cryin
Captain Earth
Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet
Linebarrels of Iron
Valvrave the Liberator

All are recent mecha shows with the classic feel of Robotech/Gundam/Patlabor.
