Is there a female tsundere character, who has a good reason to act the way she does... Annoying examples include the one from Full Metal Panic and Ginban Kaliedescope... I liked both of those shows and the characters, but the female leads are so unreasonable and don't have good justification for being so cunty... accept I guess
.... I guess
There was also Yamada from Yamada's First Time... but she was just a through and through cunt

However, ones like Taiga from Toradora clearly had something wrong with her, so you can understand. She's got problems up in her head... Or should I say down in her head, with her being so short and all.
ZING

Anyways, I like the idea of watching a tsundere romance, but I want a girl who's bad behavior can be just the least bit justified... like maybe the male lead has problems of his own, like stupidity, so it's his own fault she's always pissed. That'd work. Then you could understand the tsundere better because you'd react similarly.

Lead character from freezing was sexual abused by her brother thus making her not able to handle a mans touch without it hurting her.
Careful on using the C word on her kinda of harsh to read maybe say bitch instead idk just saying

Tsundere's whose actions are well explained:

- Louise from Familiar of Zero (inferiority complex due to poor skills and family pressure)
- Hitagi from Bakemonogatari (sexual assault and abandonment issues)
- Michiru from Fruit of Grisaia (incredibly dark past; tsundere act a conscious mask)
- Nanaka from Myself; Yourself (borderline tsundere; orphan w/ PTSD and abandonment issues)
- Kirisu from Steins; Gate (abandonment issues; daddy issues)

Also, apparently the FMP heroine's behavior is explained in the original LNs, but her background and family situation was dropped from the anime.

You missed Ryoko Okami from Ōkami-san & her Seven Companions.

My favorite is Chitoge from Nisekoi. She has a whole lot of reasons for being tsundere; her father threw her in a fake relationship with a guy she didn't know, she thinks her mother doesn't care for her, she never had to interact with other kids so she didn't know how to nor did she know how to make friends. Now, she's in love for the first time and has no clue how to act around the guy so she tries to hide her feelings from him dropping hints subconciously while trying to avoid any rejection. Her creators definitely know how to handle a character's motivations.
